Computer questions

What kind of drive do I need to burn CD's (pictures & music)? And to put my CD's onto the computer for an ipod?

Also, I am confused by all of the new Windows stuff. Does the Windows XP Media Center 2005 have Word or something similar in it? Can't seem to find that anywhere.

I don't know what kind of drive you need, I dont' do the cd burning around here. lol
You need to install microsoft office tools to get word. do you have that?

Word does not comes with the computer unless you ordered it that way. You need a cd rw in order to burn a cd.

Also, with the size of files today (digital pictures and all) and the amount we save and burn, I would suggest looking a DVD burner rather than just a CD burner. The DVD burner will do both DVD and CD. DVD holds about 6 ti,es that of a CD. Just a thought.
