This is something I have never been real sure about and maybe you can help me. When you journal or make some kind of a title on the computer, do you print on the card stock and then cut it out the size you want? Does that make sense what I am asking? I have collecting some fonts but then wonder how I will use them. I see all these great layouts and wonder how do they do that.

Maybe I should look for some beginner info again and it will tell me.

That is how I do a lot of mine. I print it out in the size font that I want and then cut it out the size I want it. A lot of times I measure the space I have on the page, for ex. 3" x 2", then in Word I add a text box and size it to 3"x2" so that I now have a guide for the size space I have. This also makes it easier to decide what size the font should be. Before I print it out if I don't want the actual line to be printed, I go under the format tab, click on text box, then under Line, I go to color and click on no color. Besides using coard stock I also print out on ink jet vellum. I want to try transparency paper too, I've seen some really nice things with that.

Twigs, thanks so much for replying. I have been thinking of you. I know you are still terribly sad but I hope you are doing a little better. It all takes time.

I am going to print this out and get some vellum I can print on also. I am so dense about soem things and really need it spelled out.

Good luck with your printing. Thanks for thinking of me, I have had a few better days, but the last two have been hard, it comes in waves I have found. I just have to keep busy and occupied.

Just posted my EPCOT LO's. I used transparencies on almost all the pages (especially the World Showcase pages) I LOVE THEM!!! :p

Where are your LO's posted? I am so slow, what is the differnce in vellum and transperencies?

Transparencies are completely see through, like glass, vellum is "cloudy" but you can still see through it and it comes in many colors and patterns. Does that make sense?? If you look at my LO's, you can tell the difference, I journal on both!!

The way I print out my journaling is a little different, but it works for me. I print it out on regular paper first and check the size and make sure the font is readable and everything is the way I want it. I then cut out the cardstock or vellum in the exact size I want it on the layout and then run it through my xyron with repositionable adhesive. I then stick it on the paper over where I printed it and run it back through the printer again. I then peel it off my paper and stick it on my page. I have rarely had a problem with the paper getting stuck or not printing out correctly. Hope this helps you decide how you want to do it!
