Computer help needed!

I had to factory restore my computer on Thursday. Now, when I click to go on the internet, it tells me I have to set it up by dialing in. We have DSL, so we are not connected straight to a phone line. I click sign up later, but every time I click the "E" I get told I need to sign up. Does anyone know how to bypass this?

Sounds like you need to go into the control panel and set up the DSL again through the internet folder. Go to start, control panel, internet options, and then click on the connections tab and go from there.

Your DSL provider will be the best source to get you reconnected. They will probably have you go to a website that will establish the link between them and your "new" computer.

But I can't get onto the internet, so how can they give me a web site to go to?

So what do I do once I am in the internet options?

The Setup button will start a "Wizard" that will ask some questions and (hopefully) establish the connection with your DSL service.
