I am currently looking for a job and a place that I am highly interested in wants me to send them my resume in a pdf or doc. I am clueless on how to do this. My resume was typed up in the Microsoft Works Word processor. I do not have Adobe Acrobat which I think is how you can send it in a pdf. Is there any free software that will let me type my resume in a pdf? Is there anyway to take my current resume in the Microsoft Works Word processor and put it in a doc format? I just want to make sure then when I send it to the company, that it does not show up in crazy symbols and letters and looks like a nightmare. This job would be perfect for me. Thanks!!

Just click on "file" -> "save-as" then click on the pull down just below where you would type in the name of file you're saving. I don't know if MS Works can save as a "doc" file but it's worth a try. The default for MS Works is "RTF" format.

You would need the full version of Adobe Acrobat or another program that can create PDFs to save your resume as a PDF.

I think you can use something called cute pdf. (google it). You just set it up as a "printer". Instead of printing to your ink-jet, for example, you send it to the cute pdf "printer", and you get a .pdf file as your result.

Thanks everyone. I got it figured out thanks to all your help. Dis people are the best!! :cool1:
