:confused3 I'm trying to decide which would be the best time to go to DLP. My plan is to go in November 06 sometime in hopes of enjoying Fantillusion [assuming they haven't cancelled it by then :rotfl2: ]
My problem is this:-

Do I go in early November 06 with the possiblity that French Schools will be on their holidays? I went last year during this holiday and the place was HEAVING!

Or do I go later on in the month - the tour operator I am planning on using offers the same holiday slightly later but the period covers a weekend.

Which do you all think?

Possible Holiday pack out or possible weekend pack out? :confused3

What a decision Nikki!! :teeth:

In 2006 the french schools go back on 6th November which is a Monday. How early in November were you planning to go - is there any chance that all or part of your trip will be coincide with this date? And this year Fantillusion doesn't start until the 5th (we hope ;) ) so I presume it will be a similar date next year - IF it happens, as you say!!! ;)

I went last week of November last year and it was lovely. Very low crowds, weather not too cold and all the Christmas magic. We are planning on going again the same time next year too.

There are rumours floating around that Fantillusion could be just a weekend thing sometime next year - I don't know where these rumours started or who started them but I know they have been talked about on the dlrp.co.uk forum - perhaps martin can shed some light?

I think you would love to catch the start of the Christmas season so later in November would be better.
What about other operators or diy to plan a med-week break ?

Reid

Can I just check when the French children return to school this November? Is it on the 6th??

According to this site, it's Thursday 3rd. Nice to "see" you again widget!! :goodvibes

Thanks Bexx - thats good because im planning a quick trip 6th to 8th so hopefully it wont be too much pushing and shoving in the queues - oh wait a mo - thats me!! ;)

Because of mobility difficulties I can only use coach travel - and even that has to be local pick ups. There's only the dreaded Leger and one other [I think] so I am very restricted in when I can go. Perhaps later on Nov - if I can sort that - might be better.

Have you considered the silver service coaches from Leger? They look quite a bit more roomy for that long journey from Calais to the hotel.

I did think about that but it's a bit of a price. Thing is, going on my own anyway I have to pay extra for the dreaded single person's discount. At least with Disney they don't shove single customer's into a broom cupboard though :rotfl2:
