Hi!!!! I am so late to the party but just starting to get back into reading trip reports. I am here now!!!

Oh! When are you going? We will be there for one day, Feb. 6th.

We're going Jan 24th through Jan 30th (THOUGH! Trevor was planning with me yesterday and was like "wait why are we coming back Thursday? Why not just stay til Friday?" so I'm now frantically looking around and seeing if we can swing an extra day LOL. This man ) I'm sorry we'll miss you

Grand Floridian Lounge Breakfast - Monday Nov 18, 2024 (part 1)​

The day dawned lovely - Happy birthday to Trevor!! We slept pretty well, and it was really nice to not have to wake up at 7 to get a virtual queue! I actually got up a bit before Trevor, so I headed down to get breakfast while Trevor was still in the room getting ready.

The view from the hallway right outside our room - gorgeous!

I liked the garlands there on the railings.

Down at breakfast, I did a survey of the offerings!

Fiesta Scramble, regular scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage.

Multi grain croissant, double chocolate muffin, and regular croissants.


Don't remember what the things on the left were, but the right was bread pudding with vanilla sauce.


Pumpkin cranberry muffin, hard boiled eggs, and cinnamon rolls.


Cheese and meats and such.


Fruits, and pumpkin spice yogurt parfait there in the back.

A pretty decent selection! All the fruit was good and fresh and the eggs and such were nice and warm. I made myself up a plate and then found a seat by the window, looking out at the lagoon.


So nice, just sitting, enjoying the music and the view...a great way to start the day!

Hollywood Studios Morning - Monday Nov 18, 2024 (part 2)​

Trevor joined me after like 15 minutes, while I went back for seconds. They had POG juice so of course I had to get some of that, and then I wanted to try the pumpkin spice yogurt parfait.

The parfait tasted like pumpkin pie filling mixed with yogurt - not my favorite but I guess to be fair, it was exactly what it said it was. The POG juice was good though.

Also, I love the pattern on the silverware:


Again, not worth the price alone just for the lounge, but it was definitely a nice inclusion to have, sitting out enjoying the lobby music and the view.

Back at the room we finished getting ready but also, Trevor opened the present I brought from home for him! Though sadly I forgot to wrap it so...it got wrapped in the shirt Trevor bought last night at MVMCP.

LOL such a good wrapping.

What did he get?

Sam the Eagle socks! Trevor likes Sam the Eagle - we both miss the Great Moments in American History show at Magic Kingdom where Sam played a prominent role.

This morning I forgot that you could check arrival times for the buses in the app, so we made it down only to see that the next Hollywood Studios bus wouldn't come for more than 20 minutes!

Ridiculous. I mean I guess it's after rope drop but dude that seems excessive! We decided to uber, cause we had fastpasses to get to!

The uber came fast, and by 9:32 (before the bus even arrived to pick us up at the Grand Floridian) we were heading into the park!

Our first fastpass was at Tower of Terror, so we headed down Sunset Boulevard. We saw Max leaving!

An interesting scarf choice.

There was a photographer out so of course we had to stop:

I do love that suitcase prop.

And then off to our fastpass! Though we almost didn't really need it -

Hard to see, but Tower was posting 13 minutes!

Your MVMCP looked like so much fun! Congrats to you for being able to collect and carry all that food back to Main Street - I would’ve loved that flatbread!

And HOORAY for a good parade spot, the fun Space Mountain overlay, and catching the fireworks! Well done! As a side note, I love seeing pictures of the toy soldiers. It reminds me of a video recording we made of the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Parade TV broadcast back in the mid-eighties - I watched that tape a lot!

That club level breakfast looks incredible! And I think you made the right call to uber over to the Studios - especially to ride one of the best rides in Disney World!

Yea, ubering over to HS is one of the "bougie" things in my opinion - wait for the bus? Heck no, Tower of Terror is waiting, gotta uber!

Yes, and they still do! They record it sometime in early December but broadcast it (usually on ABC) on Christmas Day. The version I watched over and over was from 1986, I believe. The parade itself is probably similar, although the characters have changed through the years.

The 1986 broadcast featured additional segments highlighting new and upcoming attractions like Captain EO and The Living Seas. What a blast from the past when I think about it now!

GUYS WE LEAVE FOR DISNEY AND FARTS IN LIKE 1 HOUR! I am so excited I literally cannot wait. Wish me luck that I get all the art I'm wanting (that Dylan Bonner Haunted Mansion bride piece....) We're staying at Beach Club again 'cause you can't beat that proximity to Epcot...we'll see if we get lucky with our room again. See ya in a bit!

PROTECT THE SPY! - Monday Nov 18, 2024 (part 3)​

There was basically no line in the FastPass queue, so super quickly we were on the ride! We got lucky and managed to get the front row:

The Tower ride video cracks me up.

One of the things I was excited for - aside from the ride - was the gift shop! I was hoping to get that Tower of Terror spirit jersey but womp womp, they were all out. They also had a Tower of Terror polo shirt that Trevor was thinking about - cause it's a Disney thing he can wear at work - but while the front just had the little logo on the breast, the back was a whole big print so Trevor decided to pass. No Tower merch for us today! On the bright side though, while we were in the gift shop I was looking for a new fastpass and managed to get an immediate use Rockin Roller Coaster one! Woot!

Off we went - I love that Trevor is willing to ride this one with me now.

Also this is one of my favorite ride photos 'cause it's always so awkward looking.

At this point we had a fastpass for Toy Story Midway Mania in about an hour (woot!) but our pre-booked Slinky Dog fastpass had turned into an anytime fastpass cause Slinky Dog went down. Sadness. But I had our Rise of the Resistance fastpass coming up so we decided to head towards Galaxy's Edge, by way of Star Tours. It's Trevor's birthday and he loves Star Tours, so had to do it!

As we started heading that direction, we ran into the Holiday Spirit Band!

They were so fun - we stayed and watched for a while.

And Max was there dancing!


The live entertainment in the parks is just so fun - I love it. They should bring more of it back.

Anyways, over at Star Tours, it was a walk on and veeery quickly we were ready for our voyage:

But guys, guess what happened?

Trevor was the Rebel Spy!!! And on his birthday!!! I think that might be the first time he's actually been the rebel spy - or at least the first time in a long time - so it was super awesome to have it happen on his birthday. Woot! Almost made up for the fact that the ride ended with Naboo (it's always Naboo...though at least this time we also got the wookie planet).

Then, time to continue our Star Wars adventures with our Rise of the Resistance fastpass. And while the line wasn't long, the pre-show wasn't working - we had to go through that little CM hallway to get to the stormtrooper room:

It's always such a bummer when the pre-show doesn't work but hey, that stormtrooper room still makes up for it a bit.

The CMs were on point too - Trevor had a fun interaction with the First Order CMs:

His birthday got canceled but it's ok, it was his Interrogation Day. Honestly, those CMs are awesome - they stay in character but yet still give all the safety info and answer all the questions at the same time. Mad props - I couldn't do it.

Also, not only did we get the front row but we got the track where the AT-AT faces you (which is our favorite), and the lasers on the AT-AT were fixed so they came down and pointed at us. Woo hoo! It's always a bit sad when the effects aren't working, but today, pre-show aside (and the cannons which don't work at all anymore) it was doing good!

We came off the ride on a high, and jumped right in line for some photos in front of the X-Wing. We had a lot of fun - I'll leave you with this one 'cause it's making me laugh way too much.

As far as I know they do! I don’t think we watched it last year (Christmas was busy!) but we’ve watched it since M has been born. Look for “Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Parade” on your TV lineup next Christmas Day.

Thank you! We did have a great time - and I did get the print! We ropedropped the art booths on Saturday morning and they had 3 of the Limited Edition canvases and I managed to snag one. Then later in the trip they ended up stocking the postcard version so I got that too LOL Now to figure out where to put it all!
