I've used GardenGrocer 3 times now. Always on time, always got my order correct, always pleased. However, part of me wants to "try" wegoshop just so that I can "compare" the two. I know wego might be cheaper in that I can instruct shopper to go to Walmart and buy cheapest brand etc. However - can I still add beer/wine to the list and expect my order to be accurate as it was with GG? I know the answer is probably yes... but wanted some feedback. Should I give wegoshop a try? Or stick with GG since I know I'm happy with their service (albeit they are certainly a bit more expensive.)

It may sway your suggestions to know I will expect my order to be delivered first thing in the AM on New Years Eve DAY. Are both companies reliable for holiday delivery? I've never had a holiday delivery before.

TIA!:hippie:

Ummmm, what does this have anything to do with OP's question? That kind of statement actually makes me want to shop at walmart more. It's like reverse psychology.

Sorry OP, I don't have any answers. I'm looking on your thread because I would like to read the responses as well.

We used Marge (wegoshop) for the first time this past Aug. The service was on time, very reasonable and extremely convenient. We ordered beer and wine along with a fairly lengthy grocery list. Since there was alcohol with the order, we had to be at the hotel to sign for our order. Once we signed we went on our way while the delivery woman stored all our items in the bellman's area (cold food refrigerated). When our room was available later that day, the bellmen brought our food up with our other luggage. Every item was perfect (even the wine I ordered -which is not very common) and in fact the delivery woman even got us some good deals (2 for 1 etc. ). I think you would be pleased with the service, the price and the convenience. I am not sure however, about the holiday delivery part of your quest.

I've never tried We Go Shop. I really like GG's "menu-style" ordering over WGS's "you give us a list" style. Yes, I probably spend a few extra dollars, but I just find it more convenient.

I've had problems with Wego shop. They left off a whole case of gatorade, were terrible about returning my phone calls regarding the matter, and never did refund my money. I don't like to give my money to companies with poor customer service - so even if Garden grocer is more expensive we will be going with them from now on.

Say no to SPAM> Political views go on the Community Board!:lmao:

(And just a clue. Urban Sprawl: PREDATES WalMart. Take a history class or two. Urban Sprawl results from the development of the Interstate system.... :rotfl: )

(NOTE: I despise WalMart, but I don't blame it for the evils of the world!)

We did our first grocery order for our Thanksgiving trip. I totally agree with Brian on the ordering system of the 2. We used GG and it turned out great, stuff was waiting for us at SSR when we checked in and the order was 100% correct.

This is the first problem I've heard from a WeGo customer since they had a switch in owners a few years back. When was your trip?

We used wegoshop this summer. I was very pleased. All phone calls and emails were answered and return calls were timely. I had a delivery scheduled for our studio because I didn't know when the 2 bdrm would be ready but got into the 2 bdrm at 4pm and was able to redirect our delivery to the 2 bdrm.

Yes, you have to give Marge a list and where you want to her to shop. For us, it was necessary because of the number of organic items needed and the ability to shop Publix's weekly ad for fresh fruits and veges. I did consider GG but for the groceries we needed for this trip, wegoshop made more sense. Now for next summer, when it's just our family, I might give GG a try because we won't be cooking as much or need as many specific organic items.

OTOH, we've taken a cab to Winn Dixie for $20 round trip from SSR & did our own shopping & it took less than an hour. Now granted it meant we had to do some of the work ourselves, but I'd rather go & see what I want instead of having someone else getting something for me that may not be up to my standards. Plus they have some ready cooked stuff & souveniers that I like to browse through myself. I guess I'm too much of a control freak to have someone else shop for me, but just another option you might consider. ;)

We used WeGoShop last June and Marge( & David) did a great job!
We had a pretty big order and she got everything we needed for both families.

I booked a spot for this upcoming trip:santa: and will book for next June too :beach:.

We are driving at Christmas but, it is so much nicer to have her handle the shopping. The car will already be full and this way we don't have to unpack and repack the groceries until our room is ready.

Marge has been quick with her emails and she called us at the park before she arrived.

I give her:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We just returned right before Thanksgiving and we used WeGo. Marge was perfect, we had a problem with a business printer that we had to take on vacation, still had to work to pay the bills, called Marge and she had a new printer to us within 4 hours. Now that's service. Our food order was perfect and every detail was covered. We will use them everytime we go to WDW.

I just can't say enough good things about WeGo, Marge is top of the line in my eyes......never a problem.

We used wegoshop in November; I liked being able to specify exactly what I wanted and where to buy it. Our order was there when we arrived but bell services didn't bring the stuff from the fridge and said they couldn't find it; we called Marge and she was over there(SSR) in a short time with another order, had them look again and told them exactly where it had been placed. It was there, we got it, and were very happy with her followup.
We used Garden Grocer last year; I didn't care for the minimum order($50, I think) because we really don't order all that much. We were happy with their service, though.

It was our May 2007 trip. When did they switch owners? If it has been since then, I might consider giving them a try again.

Marge has done well for us even when we are buying for2, 3 or 4 families at one time. [ we frequently take siblings plus their families to WDW].

the last time the store didn't have 24 packs of lite beer and Marge picked up 2-18's plus a 12---Gotta love it.
