The last time I was at Universal, none of these rides were there. I Usually like the 3-D types of rides, the only ones I've ever gotten sick on was Bodytours in Disney, and another one in Dollywood (can't remember the name of it but it's not there anymore, it was some big semi-truck type of 3-D ride). Anyway, I've heard some bad stuff about Jimmy Neutron, that it is very loud and makes quite a few people sick. What is your take on these rides? In which order do you prefer them? And does Shrek or Simpson's make anyone sick?

One more question, does taking motion sickness meds help? Also, if you do get sick, what's the thing to do ---close your eyes or look at something stationary?

My order of preference is:
1. Shrek
2. The Simpsons
3. Jimmy Neutron

I rode JM once and will never try it again...that was worse than any other simulator ride I had experienced. Shrek is LOTS of fun and The Simpsons is fun too but since it's the same ride vehicle as BTTF, unless I ride in the front row, my head bangs on the sides too much for me to enjoy it.

BTW...If you have motion sickness, Shrek and JM have stationary seating in the front...just let a TM know.

shrek is similar to shows like its tough to be a bug or honey i shrunkthe audience

never rode simpsons(yet)

jimmy neutron was a little rough but i think everyone was able to tolerate it including DHs 75yr old parents!;)

Simpsons does NOT have stationary seating. The other two do. Shrek is 4-D (you wear 3D glasses) and the seat moves a bit, but stays in the same room. Jimmy Neutron moves a lot, especially at the end.

JN and Simpsons have similar motion but Simpsons video is amazing.

Simpsons 3D IMAX like screen can be disorienting, sit in back where the view is less encompassing.

Shrek is like A Bug's Life but a little less intense,it's very funny.

We do Shrek and Simpsons every trip and JN every other or so.

Do Simpsons first, then Shrek and finally Jimmy Neutron. That is the order the lines fill up.

I forgot to add that I used to ride Back to the Future and loved it, so I'm really not too worried about Simpson's. I probably won't set in the stationary seats, if I don't do the whole experience, then I just won't do it at all. I think I'll send in my brave sister and my husband and the kids, if they can do it, then I'll go back and do it another day.

I loved A Bug's Life!!! It was about the only thing I loved the time we went to Animal Kingdom (but then again Dinosaur was down, so I didn't get to ride it).

I'm sure I'll do Shrek and Simpsons, thanks for the tips.

Shrek is fun, can't imagine anyone getting sick on that one, never known anyone who has anyway.

JN is stationary seating only for me.

When I went, Jimmy Neutron was open and so was Shrek 4-D. The Simpsons was not open but it seems like a fun ride. In order of Jimmy Neutron and Shrek 4-D, I would have to say Shrek 4-D then Jimmy Neutron. I like Shrek
4-D a little bit better than Jimmy Neutron because on Shrek 4-D they tickle your feet with spiders (not real spiders, of course!) and surprise you!:scared1:

The main difference between Shrek, Neutron and Simpsons is the Theatre. Sorta. Shrek is like any 4D show you'd see at Disney. You have on 3D glasses, you sit in seats and watch a giant film on a flat screen on a wall. The ocassional water sprinkle, air effects and lights exacerbate the experience. Actually all 3 attractions use water and lights. The seats are literally right next to each other.

Nuetron is situated in somewhat the same idea. There is a big flat screen in front of you, yet the seats are situated in clusters of 8, and are in several different vehicles. The vehicles raise up maybe 3 feet and are simulators, meaning they bounce around and back and forth timed to the motion on the screen. However, you can easily see the simulators next to you.

Simpsons' screen is 4 stories tall, and is an Imax dome. The vehicles are situated on 3 levels, and when you get in, all you can see is the car you and 7 other people are in. When it starts, the cars raise up 10 feet into the air and the screen surrounds the vehicle. There are other cars viewing the same screen, but they are not easily seen.
