Compare mid-June to late-July for an east-coaster

Hello California! Last year, I was furtunate enough to have a continuing education meeting in Anaheim in the middle of June (my first trip to CA). Disneyland (and the weather) was awesome. The park was pretty crowded (summer) but manageable. This year, I may be able to go to a meeting during the last week of July. So, for the SoCal regulars, here are my questions:

1. Is Disneyland any more crowded at the end of July than the middle of June (I was there June 15-19 last year)?

2. I know it will be hotter than the perfect 72 degree weather from mid June. But how bad? Is it like Florida bad?

Thanks. And any other tips that you think of would be good. And just a note...As a WDW vet, I was positively charmed by Disneyland.

1. Mid June can be busier than July because local AP holders are blocked for the entire month of July and most of August. This means that they flock to the parks in early to mid June.

2. Weather will be warmer in July but nothing compared to Florida. We don't have the humidity for one. Also it cools off at night and in the mornings.

SoCal summer weather is heavenly compared to Florida. See "Comparison of Weather For WDW and DLR" www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1711098

As Minnine said, mid-June this year is likely to be especially busy because of Cars Land and Buena Vista Street at DCA. July will be busy too. But mid-June will be more so.

I agree. July is better than June. And this year if you wait it will give you a chance to see how Carsland affects DL and the rest of DCA. I will be watching the reports closely to formulate my plan of attack in July. ;)

I would avoid DL in June if possible. We were there accidentally when Star Tours and Ariel opened and the parks were swamped. I can't imagine how busy it will be with a whole new land opening.

Thanks for the help. June is not an option for me this year. It's the last week of July or bust. It's kind of a long commute to DL from my house. I'm glad to hear that the crowds should be no worse than I saw last year (with the possible exception of the Cars Land crowd).

And as for the weather, I can't tell you how many people apologized for the gloomy weather last June. Umm....It was 70 degrees and sunny. No apologies necessary. Where I come from, we call that autumn. I don't mind warmer in July. I just don't want to melt, especially since so many of the attraction lines and seating areas are outdoors at DL.
