companies renting oput the park or city walk

I just saw on a facebook page about a company renitng out Islands of adventure and most of citywalk for a certain date.
if you hav ereservation for a resort and purchase tickets, will they let you know this in advance? we will be staying at the new saphire fall for 4 nights starting aug 19. and will have 3 day park hopper tickets, starting aug. 20.
I would certainly be upset to find we were not welcome on any of those days/nights

Anything happening where parks are closed to general public, will be put on their website.

generally when there is a buy out for the parks, it happens later i the evening.

would not expect private events to begin untll around 10 pm at the earliest.

Some of the buy outs are not for the entire part but sections of it.


i've been at the parks when there were buy outs and it did not effect my time in the parks during the evening.

park closed at 8, normal time for when i was there and private party began hours after that in one section of the park.

We stayed in Orlando during the Travel Agency IPW convention last year. Both Universal closed early one night and MK closed early another night we were there (as they rented out the whole park those evenings!). The calendar hours had been published in advance, I think months even, so it was not a surprise. Turned out to be a pretty cool experience as we were at Poly when they did these special fireworks at MK just for the rented out event. It was the best firework show I had ever seen in my life!

I was actually looking for possible black out dates for city walk (specifically pat obriens) the week of aug 19 for 4 nights.
we have been to city walk in the past where pat obriens and the entire street area was blocked off .. (even tho out tickets included city walk)
it was actually pretty funny cause there was a team member trying to block us from taking pictures of the guy on the stilts, (since it was a "private" party) the team memeber was trying to tell me I couldn't take a picture of the guy on stilts, since I was outside the
wall" for the private" Party.
anyhow I jsut want to make sure which night might be blocked oof for our 4 night stayin august.
