Coming soon! Soarin' Around the World. What in the world do you want to see?

Do we know that the new trip does begin in California?
And even if so, I don't see why it would need to end there.
We don't, well I don't since I haven't read any updates. I was speaking more on the terms of the physical location of the ride being in DCA. Again, I'm excited for the additions but when I read Soarin around the World, I'm hoping they go in the direction of starting and ending in Cali. Like a round trip experience.
Just trying to wrap my head around seeing a foreign/international ending to the ride.
Just glad I'll be able to ride it a few times before they switch it out.

The preview was beautiful! I wonder if the music in the review will be used in the attraction?

I'm so disappointed :( I love the ride just as it is... after all its Disney California adventure! There are too many changes going on! I can't keep up!

When I saw the announcement, I had assumed Soarin' at DCA would stay California and Soarin' at Epcot would be around the world. Would make more sense that way with the theming of the two parks.

Soarin' Over the Kilauea Volcano, Island of Hawaii.... Soarin' Over the 7 mile Bridge, the Florida Keys.....
I prefer the US, sights....

Hi Kylie71,

I love the idea of Kilauea Volcano because my family is originally from Hawaii. Your post made me think if they are going to include a quick scene that includes Aulani as a small detail.

I would love to soar over the Great Pyramids, Grand Canyon, and Mount Rushmore. I've never been to any of them but they are on my bucket list.

Ooh, Waimea Canyon (Kauai) would also get my vote. Definitely the most awesome natural wonder I've seen in real life. :)

I agree with the above posters who said that they should leave the Soarin' Over California in DL, and bring the new one to Epcot! Totally makes sense!

My two cents. Leave....it....alone. I don't need a ride that takes me over a bunch of world famous tourist attractions. I can find pictures of those all over the interwebs. I like the views of the beautiful parts of California that those of us who don't live there would never get to see. Give me the orange grove, the mountains, the ocean at sunset, etc.

I'm a bit confused. You can find photos of the places you mentioned in California on the internet just as easily as you can find photos of famous tourist attractions.

Iguazu Falls, Santorini or Greek islands, Northern Lights, White Cliffs of Dover, Christ the Redeemer, African savannah, Madeira Portugal, Venice, Sydney, Great Wall of China, pyramids, Blue Hole in Belize, Amalfi Coast Italy, Bryce Canyon Utah, Yellowstone, Zangye Danxia China, tallest buildings in Saudi Arabia, etc. so many awesome possibilities!

Watching the preview footage, my stomach did a little Soarin' flip to see how close that pilot was flying over the Great Wall. I am looking forward to this!

Really? I don't have a clue where most of those places are in the current video.

Ah, I think I understand what you originally meant (and also understand lost in cyberspace reply).

Apart from the Golden Gate (and San Diego / Los Angeles) most of the locations aren't specifically "word famous ladmarks", instead they are general locations throughout California (an orange grove, a river, etc.)

And yes, you are able to find photos of those locations online, yet it isn't the same as just looking up Great Wall of China. Many people wouldn't know where that specific river was, or what the precise location of the horses, or the handgliders.

Where as if you see the Eiffel Tower, you'd know exactly where that is.

Some worry that the new film will just be locations of actual landmarks vs non specific places in nature.
