I wish they would leave one side, Original, and one side around the world..........

That's what I said too, Lori -- I would like to have 2 versions of it throughout the year.
I don't know where I would like to soar, but I suspect we will be soarin' over the Pyramids, maybe the Taj Mahal, the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, maybe the Great Barrier Reef, New York City, etc.
Sooooo
If I were to be planning a trip for "next year" what do you suggest?
My plan for 2015 Oct trip is to purchase an AP.
I'll be tripping again in December with my two youngest grandkids.
Then may be a trip in May and another before the AP expires.
If I had to hazard a guess, I think that
Disneyland would either try to have the new Soarin' open by the time their summer season begins -- in May -- or by the holiday season of 2016 if, for some odd reason, they can't get it up and running by May.
It shouldn't take too long if it has already been in the works for a while, which I think it has. As long as the film has been shot, then that part won't take long to put into the theater. They might have filmed a new intro video for the queue. They might re-theme the queue a bit to give it a more international feel. They will change the sign on the outside of the ride, of course.
Right now it looks as though Season of the Force will debut early next year -- I am thinking January, right after the holiday season -- and will be the 2016 equivalent of what Frozen Fun was this year. Something that takes over a whole land, with new entertainment, new food, characters, etc., to bring people in during the off season, until summer. If Hyperspace Mountain is a hit -- which I'm sure it will be -- it might stick around through summer.
Star Tours' new version and the whole Launch Bay will probably be up and running by Thanksgiving or December of this year, to coincide with the new Star Wars movie. I also think that there will probably be a premiere of the movie in the Magic Eye Theater.
