So D23 announced Soarin' will go around the world. We will see new Natural and Manmade wonders. So, I ask you What in the world would you like to see in the the experience?

Did the announcement indicated a time for this new show?

The Grand Canyon seems obvious, but I would still really look forward to it.

Sooooo
If I were to be planning a trip for "next year" what do you suggest?

My plan for 2015 Oct trip is to purchase an AP.
I'll be tripping again in December with my two youngest grandkids.
Then may be a trip in May and another before the AP expires.

I don't see anything more specific than..."next year." To me...that is soon considering all the other changes we have to wait for. Plus...the attraction itself got a recent refurb.

Yrs. The Grand Canyon does seem obvious. I saw a video of part of that presentation. They showed the Great Wall of China. I am hoping for Niagara Falls. The feeling that "Soarin'" gives is amazing..like you are right there! "Soaring" over those Falls would be awesome!

I was thinking the same thing...but it might be wishful thinking. :-/

Wishful thinking might be that it's truly ready next year.

It seems like updates/refurbishments the last few years have taken longer than Disney anticipated.

Hopefully there won't be any hiccups with the project.

Sorry. Double post.

I really hope it's not too long. It seems like it could be quick considering the recent updates already. It seems like the attraction is just waiting for the "film."

Soarin' Over the Kilauea Volcano, Island of Hawaii.... Soarin' Over the 7 mile Bridge, the Florida Keys.....
I prefer the US, sights....

The Great Pyramids, River Nile, Great Wall of China, Taj Mahal, London, Paris, Ayers Rock, Niagara Falls, Grand Canyon, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Diamond Head, Mt. Rushmore, the South Pacific islands....list could go on forever!!
Those are great choices! I can't wait to see sights from "Around the world." Being a native Californian who doesn't leave CA much I'm looking forward to Soarin' to destinations I haven't already "Been there, done that." Lol.

I wish they would leave one side, Original, and one side around the world..........

That's what I said too, Lori -- I would like to have 2 versions of it throughout the year.

I don't know where I would like to soar, but I suspect we will be soarin' over the Pyramids, maybe the Taj Mahal, the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, maybe the Great Barrier Reef, New York City, etc.

If I had to hazard a guess, I think that Disneyland would either try to have the new Soarin' open by the time their summer season begins -- in May -- or by the holiday season of 2016 if, for some odd reason, they can't get it up and running by May.

It shouldn't take too long if it has already been in the works for a while, which I think it has. As long as the film has been shot, then that part won't take long to put into the theater. They might have filmed a new intro video for the queue. They might re-theme the queue a bit to give it a more international feel. They will change the sign on the outside of the ride, of course.

Right now it looks as though Season of the Force will debut early next year -- I am thinking January, right after the holiday season -- and will be the 2016 equivalent of what Frozen Fun was this year. Something that takes over a whole land, with new entertainment, new food, characters, etc., to bring people in during the off season, until summer. If Hyperspace Mountain is a hit -- which I'm sure it will be -- it might stick around through summer.

Star Tours' new version and the whole Launch Bay will probably be up and running by Thanksgiving or December of this year, to coincide with the new Star Wars movie. I also think that there will probably be a premiere of the movie in the Magic Eye Theater.

I thought I read somewhere (though I can't remember where so I don't know how reliable a source I read it from) that the debut of the new Soarin' over here is tied to the opening of Shanghai Disneyland which has been pushed back from the end of this year to sometime during the first half of 2016. So I'm thinking that once Shanghai Disneyland opens, DCA and WDW will get the new Soarin' too. Hence the lack of any specificity beyond "next year" on Disney's part.
