This Disneyland Hotel guest perk has been "Coming Soon" for, well, forever. Has anyone recently checked into one of the three DL hotels and asked about this? I guess I'm hoping they're offering it but just haven't got around to updating the website lol.

Sorry to resurrect a thread that is almost a year old... But I was wondering about this "Preferred Reservation Access," as well. It is not listed as "Coming Soon," as it apparently was before. Still, the wording on the website is ambiguous:

Does anybody have any intel?n
I spoke to the Walt Disney Travel Company yesterday about my upcoming DIsneyland trip at the Grand Californian Hotel in August. The agent told me that while I there the front desk can assist with dining reservations but she said it was limited times/slots for each table service restuarant and she retierated stongly to make my dinning reservations online or on the APP starting 60 days. Well I have made all my reservations...tomorrow will be for my last day.

Also, for me...I was able to make dining reservations at 6AM ET online on my iphone or laptop but not on the Disneyland app until 9AM. I made all my reservations on my iphone or laptop. I am happy I got everything I wanted. World Of Color dessert party and Plaza Inn Dining Parade packages. Lamplight brunch. Cafe Orleans 2X, Blue Bayou 2X, Carnation Cafe, Storytellers breakfast, Storytellers dinner, Plaza Inn breakfast, Walts Tour.

When I called asking about the preferred reservations I was told that by reserving online while logged in and with a hotel reservation I would get a preference in that process. That is quite different from what you heard. So who knows. Like you we were able to get all of the reservation we wanted at or around the times we wanted when we reserved early morning 60 days before each day of our stay--Blue Bayou, Trader Sams 2x, Lamplight, Carnation, Storytellers, Oga's. i have no idea if having the hotel reservation helped or not.

Agreed. No idea if the hotel reservation helped. I know in the past when I stayed at the Disneyland Hotel which was every DL trip until now..if I ever needed a reservation while I was there the front desk would get it help me or when I stayed club level/concierge I got it.

So do you need to go on each day at 6am for the day you are trying to get 60 days prior. So for a 4 day trip, you need to go on every day for 4 days to get your reservations?

Yes. Each day is separate. For example, tomorrow Saturday, June 17th is for reservations on Wednesday, August 16th. Sunday June 18th is for reservations for Thursday, August 17th.

Yes. I enlisted my adult son, so both of us were hitting refresh at 6:00 a.m. for 4 consecutive days. (He logged in with my account as did I.) We thought that might double the chance of getting what we want. We Zoomed at the same time to coordinate in real time and split the restaurants to try for. We would compare notes 10 minutes before 6 each day. The next time we talked I kidded him about missing me at 5:50 each morning, which got me a good laugh. So yeah, reserve day by day.

Did you mean 6 AM PT (rather than 6 AM ET)? Or were you able to make those Disneyland dining reservations already at 3 AM PT?

Have people still been finding the Disneyland website on a laptop or phone to still more reliable than the Disneyland app for making dining reservations? Also, what is the best page to be on when refreshing right before 6 AM PT? The page with the calendar and then click the date once it's available to click? Any other strategies for booking reservations as quickly as possible are greatly appreciated!

Most of the days at 9AM EST/6AM PST. For 2 days, I got reservations at 6AM EST/3AM PST.

I've made reservations from my iPhone on the app all last week very successfully. Sometimes with two phones at once. trick for me is having dining option pulled up and on the screen where you pick number of people. The second it turns from 0059 to 0600 I hit the number of people and then follow through on all the prompts. I did this for a friend 6 mornings in a row and got everything she wanted

Interesting! Guess I will see if this helps when i do mine next month.

I've had luck on both. Like someone else commented, I can just pull down to refresh on my phone and it's right there which is usually quicker. Knock on wood, I've always gotten what I wanted with some good times the two trips we've made: Trader Sam's x2, Plaza Inn Minnie Breakfast, Blue Bayou x2, Lamplight Lounge lunch and Lamplight Lounge brunch. I always check about an hour before and then 30 minutes before the drop just to make sure they haven't dropped earlier. They have randomly but it's not consistent. Then just refresh like crazy and don't debate it. You can always cancel if you change your mind!
