Coming out of lurkdom with a few ?? on condos

Hello everyone!! I am so glad I found this board! We are planning our first family trip to disney and have found reading the boards extremely helpful. I would like to stay in a two bedroom condo in Windsor Palms at a reasonable rate. I found this website www.condos-orlando.com and a two bed is advertised at $59.99 a night plus a 10% off special for the dates I need. Being on a budget, this rate would be wonderful! Which makes me wonder, is this place legit? They are managed by elite vacations. If anyone has gone through this company I would love to hear from you. Thanks so much!

I have used elite vacations 3 times in the past. Once for a condo at Windsor Palms, twice for houses. They are a good company, no problems.

Thank you Bonnie for your reply. When you booked through Elite Vacations were you able to choose your specific home? From what I have read here on the boards, most people that rent condos/homes are able to choose the home they will be in. I do not need all the extras but want to make sure we are in a nice, safe place. Thanks again.

Actually I didn't pick my home. I did request a certain development (like Rolling Hills) and they did give me a home there. They were beautiful homes. I think I read on their website that they will let you pick out a certain house but it costs more. I always rented a 3 bedroom home and was given a 4 bedroom home, of course this was a slow time of year.
The Windsor Palms condo I actually found on the VRBO (vacation rental by owner) site but it ended up being elite homes anyway. And I was pleased that it was elite because I was acquainted with them. I got my 2 bedroom condo last April for $55/night.

Welcome to the Dis Cari! I reserved a condo at Windsor Palms through Elite Vacations for next month. They have been very helpful so far and I'll let you know how it goes. I have researched Windsor Palms have have heard nothing but good things about the place! Looking forward to going there!

Windsor Palms is wonderful. We were there in November. You won't be disappointed. As more people try these types of places, the local hotels are really going to start feeling some pain because a hotel simply can't compete with the amenities of a condo or house. Its tough to get a nice hotel room for $55/nite. At a place like WP you can get a 2-bedroom condo with full kitchen. No comparison.

Is it legit? Absolutely. Have no fears about that whatsoever.

As for picking a home - it depends. Sometimes you book direct through the owner and get their unit. Other times you book through a management company and might be booking a specific unit or just making a general reservation and they'll put you in a unit that meets your need (2-bed, 3-bed, etc.)
