We have planned our return trip. We have to use our developer points by august 16 of next year so we think we'll do a split stay between SS and AKV. We are so excited. I'm looking forward to shopping in Fargo. Hopefully there will be good sales on.
Turkey was good.
Thanks for the comment about the photos. We tried to dress up a little each evening we went out to dinner. It made it seem more special and fancy and the girls enjoy dressing up on most days.

So if anyone knows of a working magic wand I would enjoy one. I love to cook but man a turkey dinner is a lot of work. Here I was peeling potatoes and carrots at 11am and had the turkey in by noon. I did all the dishes I could before and thought I only had a few more things to do for dinner but by the time you honey glaze the carrots(yum, Yum) and make the cream cheese mashed potatoes from Le Cellier(triple yum) and make the gravy and all the other things you need to do it looks like the kitchen blew up:scared1: I had wonderful family and friends over that helped to clean it all up though so I guess I did have a bit of a magic wand.:wizard: We had a lovely evening although I think the kids just ate dessert. Oh and cauliflower casserole, that was dd8 she loves this casserole. I can't say I blame her it is pretty yummy. Hope all you other Canadians have a great Thanksgiving next weekend!:goodvibes Hope I didn't make anyone too hungry.

You have two magic wands! Those girls are surely old enough to peel potatoes. Okay.. maybe not miniMontana, but surely big sissie. :rotfl2:

Glad to hear you had a great time with your family!!! We're missing ya girl. Hope you get some time for your Disfamily soon. But real life does have a nasty way of getting in the way, I know. See... there I am being nice for a change.

Now don't go getting used to it or anything. :rotfl2:

At least it is over now. You can sit back and watch all the new shows on the family channel this weekend.:happytv: Tell me DD8 isn't dying to see Zack & Cody on a cruise ship. I'd laugh if their first episode has them running into an iceburg.:lmao:

OK stop scaring me like that:scared1: I'm not used to you being so nice:laughing: I'm so tired today I decided to take a break and start working on the next installment.

OK you are NOT funny:lmao: I had to admit I cracked up when I read this and mini Montana was saying "what Mama, What?" I didn't realize that it starts this weekend. I can't wait for it. I hope they show lots of the ship:woohoo:

Last sunday we had to watch the new star wars the clone wars series. We were counting down the number of sleeps for it. DS6 is a huge star wars fan. Please don't anyone tell him about the star wars weekends .... Although he might wear down DH and maybe that will be my ticket back again. Hmmm... I'll have to pack that thought away for later.

I was saying that this week it is the countdown for the suite life on deck. I haven't broke it to my kids that we'll be at the cottage (no cable!) yet. Please don't tell them that yet.

Boy I'm awfully full of secrets and devious plans today. Perhaps Hypermommy is wearing off on me.:scared:

Hi Diamond, can I ask a totally OT question and at the same time an apology to you Purplepeg for the highjack here!!

Diamond, if I may call you that:flower3: , I have a question for you about the American Girl doll and accessories you ordered for your DD not too long ago. I just checked out your photos again, but could not tell from them. Is there anything on the packaging, the big box, that says "American Girl" on it? I am just wondering how easy it is to identify what is in the box because I don't want my DD to know what it is.

Have you given your DD hers yet? It was for her birthday, right?

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Suz

My evil plan is working! Now I just have to find a mirror and some apples!!!

By all means call me Diamond. I've been called worse (LOL).

My apologies to purplepeg too.:worship:

I just checked my American Girl box. There is a small white label where the return address that is typed on it clearly says American Girl and their address. But I would say it is in a font of about 14 points. So pretty small. Luckily for me the express post label covered the words American Girl.

On that same label there is a small box where you write the description of the items in the box. They wrote "Doll Clothes". But they wrote it in cursive and they wrote it pretty small. DD never would have been able to read it if she had taken the time to look at it.

Luckily DH has his own business from home and gets boxes fairly often. So the kids didn't even glance at it in our front hall when they got home from school.

So in conclusion, (why do I feel I'm writing an essay for university again?) I would say that you have a good chance to get the box right past your DD without her knowing it. Good luck and may the force be with you:yoda:

Oh, that is great news! Thanks Diamond. DD can't really read yet, but I think she would recognize the AG label if it was all over the box or in very big letters. Thanks for this information.

Did you give your DD hers yet?

I've never even had my order from American Girl delivered to my house. I've always had to go and pick it up at the postal outlet so that I could go and pay the taxes and duty on the package. If that's the case for you, your daughter won't see the box. Sorry Mel, back to the regularly scheduled trip report.:cool1:

Yeah, like Peg's gonna actually get around to writing more on the trippie soon. Maybe by the time she actually write another installment it'll be more like a pretrippie for her next time down.

Help, help! MiniMontana save me!!! Yer momma's gonna beat me in the head!!!!!! :rotfl2: :cool1: :rotfl2: :cool1:

OMG I can't believe you are leaving so soon:banana:  You must be so excited. I need to hear all about it when you get back.:surfweb: Hope the weather holds out for you, I just heard there's a Colaorado Low coming in. You know the beginning of Oct is too soon for snow especially after the summer we had or didn't have. Have you started packing yet? What's the itinerary looking like and where are you eating? Anything you want to share I'm here to listenpopcorn::

You know the beginning of Oct is too soon for snow especially after the summer we had or didn't have.

Did you not have enough summer? I could maybe box up some Florida sunshine and heat and send it your way. It was like in the 80s or something yesterday.
