Comfort Suites Maingate EAST

We are thinking of staying at this resort. They offer transporation to WDW, Sea World, Universal, etc. I was thinking of renting a car for only one day to go grocery shopping and then returning it. I'm wondering if anyone has stayed here or in this area before without a car and how that worked out for you. Thanks in advance! p.s. I think this resort is close to Celebration.

You can go to the top and move west further or to the bottom and move east.
Comfort Suites is on the left down from the top a little.
Have stayed in the area but had a car.

We stayed here in 2007 and enjoyed it so much we have booked again for this Christmas.

There is a shuttle from the hotel but I am unable to help with times etc as we rented a car.

We've stayed at this Comfort Suites about 5 times between 2003 and 2007. Rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable, the staff were outstanding and the free breakfast each morning was a plus.

As for the free shuttle - it runs on a very limited schedule. We used it once and then decided to rent a car for our subsequent trips as having our own transportation allowed us much more flexibility (especially if you want to return to the hotel in the afternoon for a break and return to the parks later in the evening). If you've stayed on-site at Disney and are used to their busses, you'll be very disappointed with the shuttle at Comfort Suites.

I havent stayed there but I would not suggest renting a car for a day.I checked prices on 1 day rentals in November for that purpose it was $80+ a day every where I checked.
You can check delivery service from grocery stores or ask the front desk for a ride when they arent shuttling to the parks.We walked a 1/2 block to Walgreens,I had 3 teenagers to help carry.

I've stayed there several times and it's a very good hotel,however I wouldn't rely on the shuttle to get to the parks,who knows how often and how late they run and how many other hotels they might stop at to pick up other people since the hotel is a good 5 miles from Disney and 5-10 miles from Sea World and Universal.It could be the difference of getting to the parks in 10 minutes with a car versus 45 minutes to an hour in a shuttle that runs infrequently.
