If you book your room at Comfort Suites can you also do the Aquarium at no extra charge. And do you let the front desk know that you will be checking out the same day? Also what time is check in and how does that work if you get there at 10 am and your room is not ready until 1pm? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks for any replies. We are going on the Wonder Nov. 10-14.

from what I understand, you can check in at the comfort suites right away, and let them know you are just there for the day. They are supposed to give you wrist bands that will identify you so that you have the same privileges as Atlantis guests, and should have access to everything.

I know in the past i have even read that some folks don't even bother getting the room key, so that way there is no hassle for check out.

We were just at Atlantis last week. We checked into Comfort Suites pretty early in the morning. They already had a room ready so we decided to go up and drop off a few things to make our load lighter. You do not get your wrist band from Comfort suites. They give you a paper that you take to one of the tents at Atlantis and that is where you get the wristband. One disappointing thing for us was that we needed a map to figure out where everything was. I know we missed a lot of the stuff they have there. I should have asked someone if they had a map. I am glad we went but I learned that you can't enjoy it all in one day. We were so tired by the time we got back on the boat that we didn't even go to dinner. I don't regret going and if I never get to go again we can atleast say we have been to "atlantis" but I think we would have enjoyed going there on a separate vacation...

More QUESTIONS

ok how many people can u have in the room we need 6
what is the Rate on average for the room at the comfort inn
and what is the cost normally to get into Atlantis per person
all the particulars u know thanks peter

when I called to make ressies for this coming October, I was told that you could only have a total of four people to the room. I think that the rate was 159 plus tax (AAA rate).

Not sure about what you mean by cost of going to Atlantis...There are certain areas that are off limits if you are not a guest there or at comfort suites...

it cost four bucks per person one way plus $1 for the toll bridge.

my friend booked a room at Atlantis, so when i get back i can fill you in on all the details!

Did we miss the "aquarium" at Atlantis? As someone said, there is a lot to see on the Atlantis property and we wandered for a while and then did some of the slides. We never found what we thought was an official "aquarium" and figured that all of the individual areas covered it. Anyone else have feedback?? We were so tired that we didn't even try to look more. Everything that we walked around and looked at outdoors (underground viewing areas, shark lagoons, other lagoons, etc.) did not seem to have restrictions on who could be there (ie no wrist band no enter). As a matter of fact we did not even get a wrist band for about an hour. We took a cab over to Atlantis ($4 per person with no bridge toll) and took our chances that we could get a day room. We got a room for $150 (it posted as $164 on the credit card after the taxes). If you do go, be sure to get a map and even then expect to be confused! Also, confirm that taxi rate before entering someone's car. Have fun!!!

Can anyone tell me where this "Atlantis" is located? I tried looking it up on the computer but had no luck in finding the correct place. Is there a website to see what this place looks like? I have heard so many great things that you all have said about the water slides and all, but have no clue as to where to read or see more about it.

Thanks!! Sorry to ask so many questions on this post.

Hi.
I'm new to Disney Cruise Board and I don't quite understand this Comfort Suites thing. Where is it? And what exactly do you get to do at Atlantis if you book a room there??? We are thinking of booking a 4 days cruise in for Jan and diffently want to go see the atlantis hotel when we're in the Bahamas...

Atlantis has lots of unique water slides and nice pools that you can not use if you are not a registered guest.

Comfort Suites is located across the street from Atlantis, and if you book a room there (normally a cheaper rate), then you can have access to the pools and water slides.

How much is it just to go see the aquariums by yourself (not an excursion)?
Ann

We did get a room at Atlantis but our cab driver said that if you enter the property from the beach side you can see just about everything without paying. We never saw an "aquarium". Don't get me wrong, there were a lot of different lagoons, underwater viewing areas and the like but when we never found a place that said "aquarium". We could have missed it.....

My Hubby and I LOVE Atlantis!!! We have been there twice just to walk around the shops and Casino. We also had lunch there in January. we didn't get to wander around outside as they have people posted all over checking for armbands. We are going again in 2 weeks a decided to rent a room this time. I want to do it all. There will be 4 of us and is still cheaper for us to rent a room for the day and get access to the pools , than to do the Atlantis Beach excursion thru Disney, and not get access to the pools. I have some pics of Atlantis at www.picturetrail.com Where it says visit album/members name put Tluvs2talk.

Teri,

I was hoping that perhaps you could make a mental note to yourself to write all about Atlantis when you get back! Seems there are so many unanswered questions? I think this would be greatly appreciated by many.

How long does it take to go thru The Dig (aquariums)?
How are the beaches, are they very nice? ( I have seen photos of beautiful white sand beaches on Paradise Island, but do not know if Atlantis is this nice.)
Do you get beach chairs when you are a guest?
Probably have to rent them - How much?

If we shelled out that kind of cash, I would want to do at least the Dig, (DS loves aquariums!) the Mayan Pools and maybe slides, plus check out the beach. Is there plenty of time for these three things if you leave the ship fairly early?

Thanks!

Wishing on a star,
I plan on taking lots of picture's of the beach, and slides. I will post these picture's when I return. I am sure that beach chairs are free to guest at Atlantis. We watched a program on TLC last weekend thay showed in detail the resort. There were tons of chairs everywhere. We plan on spending the entire day at Atlantis and are even going to use the room to shower before we return to Ship. will make some notes and detail Atlantis in my Trip report.
