Comfort of flip flops in the World?

Does anyone wear flip flops all day while at the parks? I just got my Crocs Capris and not sure how my feet will hold up wearing all day walking. I'm not even sure if it's the greatest fit since the size 4 seemed to fit well but my great toe was at the edge of the shoe so I exchanged for a 5 but now the length is fine but my foot seems too skinny for it.

Any other good, comfortable brands of flips? Leaving in 4 days:thumbsup2

I loooove my J.Crew flip flops and wear them everywhere. They're really comfortable. But my husband gets so annoyed when I wear them...he wants our whole family in sneakers for maximum comfort. (God forbid I stumble while wearing flip flops...he gives me a lecture on "those dangerous shoes"!) :rotfl:

Just make sure they're broken in so you don't have surprise blisters.

The only flip flops I can wear all day in the parks sans blisters are the cheap Old Navy kind believe it or not. All other kinds I"ve had problems with. Crazy huh.

I have worn sandals all vacation long and had no problems. My mom wore flip flops one year and wound in with blisters. I guess it all depends on the fit.

I've been looking, but have yet to find flips I can wear all day long. I don't get blisters from mine, but I need a bit more support in my arches. If I wear flips I start getting horrible pains in my arches after awhile. I've tried a few times, but have given up. Plus when they get wet, I always feel like I'm going to slip and fall flat on my face.:rotfl2:

I'm not ready to give my family that much entertainment.

I used to wear Birkenstocks at DW all the time and loved them, but due to the prices of them nowadays I can't afford them anymore:sad2:

Now I've started wearing cheap sandals from Payless and I love them. They are called Airwalks and they are so comfortable.

I bought two pairs of them for DW this coming week:banana:

I find that flip flops and sandals (unless they are really good walking sandals) don't really give me the support needed to walk around the park all day. I might wear them for a couple hours, but then switch back to my sneakers or crocs.

For the first day or so I actually get a pain in the base of my big toe from having to "keep on" the flip flop all day. I eventually get used to it and it won't happen again until the start of next summer. Vicious cycle. ;)

I wear flip flops from Ann Taylor Loft...they have a nice wedge heel about 1" high and are so comfortable.

I've worn my rainbows in the parks all day long before but I won't be this year. I have serious issues with my left foot/arch/ankle and am scared that the pain will become unbearable if I don't wear something with really good support. My orthopedic doctor already gets all over my case about how I wear my flip flops way too often as it is, he would kill me if he ever found out I did that on vacation.

My sister wears her rainbows the entire time though and has no problems with pain, the only problem can be when it's wet out they can get a bit slippery.

I love my Airwalks! I live in them all summer long but I've found if I wear other flip flops all day and do alot of walking, they rub the inside of my toes. :sad1:

Believe me, I've done that and have yet to live it down.

About five years ago I was at the acquarium with my sister, it had just rained and we were walking out on the pier. Well of course I have my flip flops on and I slipped and fell hard on my behind.

My sister wanted to know if I was ok so she could start laughing, then she busted out. :rotfl2:

To this day she still mentions it and how clear the picture is in her head.

Crocs flip- flops actually have very good support and I can wear them walking all day with no blisters or pain.

Old Navy Flip Flops.

Other people will tell you to get Tevas or Rainbows. Old Navy flip flops, 2 pairs for 5 bucks, crazy comfortable and I've never ever ever had issues with them :)

Same for me. I took 3 different pair of Old Navy flip flops (different colors) to WDW last year and they worked like a charm. They were very broken in though as well.

What I do is wear Nikes- comfy running shoes and bring my flip flops. The change somewhere during the day into my flip flops, and then later back into the Nikes- best of both worlds. This is easy for us b/c we bring a stroller/have small kids so I have a place to store my shoes I am not wearing.

Maybe a nice pair or Reef's or a more expensive pair with some cushioning you could make it all day in them no prob try Eddie Bauer, LL Bean, REI, etc. I am a major flip flop fan- my feet need to breathe :)

Teva Mush are awesome...they totally mold to your foot and have great traction on top and bottom so you don't feel like you are going to slip. I have worn them all day in the park, but after having my feet stepped on and run over by various strollers, I tend to stick with sneaks/crocs.

Ugg flip flops - nothing like the ugg boots, I know a lot of people hate those. The flip flops are just regular flip flops w/a small amount of lining to prevent blisters. Love em!

Also, a good brand of regular rubber flip flops are Havaianas. I only get blisters after a really really long time in them.

I usually wear my new balance walking sneakers for the first half of the day. Then take our midday break, nap, etc. and when we head back out for a few hours at night, I wear my flip flops. I dont know that I could wear my flip flops all day though.

I have only worn flip flops in the parks all day. I tried to be cute and wear my Mickey Crocs and ended up with a blister. I LOVE the Teva Elixer flip flops. For those that have concerns about support, these are great. There is excellent arch support. At the end of a park day, my feet never hurt. I own two pair and wear them all the time.

Sounds like you have small feet. I wear a size 6 and these have a little room in them, but they are very comfy. Good luck with your search!!
