I wasn't sure if this has been posted but the Comfort Inn-LBV has changed names. It is now the Clarion. We stayed there for one night on the 10/23 and it was a little confusing as I was travelling to the hotel from memory. They still had the same low rates.

Last Feb. we got the rate of $29 a night and we loved the place and location. I am hoping a special price like that shows up again for our trip in March!

We're also staying there for a week next week from the 9th to the 17th.
Got a TravelZoo rate for 49.00 including buffet breakfast for the 4 of us.
The reviews on TripAdvisor are almost all good.

I was just there 2 weeks ago for a long weekend & have ressie's for 6 nights in December. I had liked this place as the Comfort Inn and still like it now as the Clarion.. gotta say though, the Comfort Inn usually had great deals. I hope now that it is the Clarion it continues. I did get that great $39 rate for my stay 2 weeks ago & for the 6 nights in December.

I stayed here over new year's 09/10 and it was a nice place loved the room but the transportation is terrible. i walked from dtd to the hotel several times not too long of a walk but it was incredibly boring lol.

I stayed at the (now) Clarion three times in the past six weeks (as nothing Vacation Club was available on the kind of notice I was able to give), and found it very clean, well-furnished, and convenient. I never used the shuttle so I can't speak to that. The $39 rate was untouchable.

Three criticisms:
I-4 road noise on the south/east sides of the building is close to intolerable. I'm a very heavy sleeper and it woke me repeatedly, and didn't let up all night.

The breakfast buffet isn't worth free. Service was chaotic, and the food was dead and tasteless. It wasn't dirty or inedible, though.

The elevators chronically stop working. You'll get various explanations why (leaves in the door tracks, sunspots, ghosts), but it always seems to affect both elevators at the same time and takes at least a day to fix. Be prepared to climb stairs.

We decided to drive down a day earlier than we were checking in at the Contemporary, so we booked one night at the Clarion LBV. We booked the travelzoo.com rate, and I think it was around $45 with tax and all. For one night, I didn't think it was terrible, but DH refuses to stay there (or somewhere "cheap") ever again.

We got a 1st floor room that opened up to the pool. The room seemed clean enough, but there was a HUGE roach in the bathroom and DD, who has allergies, coughed all night. (She stopped as soon as we left the room, so I assume it was something in there). As another poster mentioned, the traffic from I-4 is loud and constant, so something to keep in mind if that would bother you.

Our deal was supposed to include a BOGO free breakfast voucher, but at check in was told it was only for 2+ nights. They did give me a $2 off coupon and the kids were free, so we had breakfast there. It was just OK. Good variety, but very average food and mediocre service.

For the price, I think it was fine for a night or 2.
