Has anyone stayed here before? We really just would like a couple things for our stay. A heated pool, breakfast buffet, mini-refrig. and easy access to WDW. Is this resort hard to navagate as far as moving around in resort? How far to the main roads for access to the WDW maingate? Any downsides to this resort? What did you like about this place? Thanks for any and all replys!!:wave2:

We stayed there in Sep 2003. I'm not sure whether their pool is heated. I believe they do have breakfast buffet... you can also get free complimentary breakfasts but we didn't eat the hotel so I'm not sure what they serve. Yes, there was a mini-fridge in our room.

It is very close to the main roads and WDW/Seaworld/DTD are 10-20 minutes away.

Ask for a room that faces the parking lot because rooms on the other side could be REALLY noisy.

I agree, you want to face the parking lot! The pool side faces I-4.

When I stayed here the front desk was flat out rude. It has been a while and maybe they have learned something about Customer Service, but just a warning.
I am not sure the pool is heated. This is a budget, basic hotel and that is not normally something they do. You might call and ask.

The breakfast was just some cold pasty and juice, not worth staying around for.

Brent--

Please do a search on this hotel, you'll find everything you need to know. When using the search feature, try to do it during early morning or late night time that is when it seems to work the best.

I have stayed there when I've needed only one night before my stay onsite at WDW.

The rooms are very basic but clean. No problems with check-in they have always been pleasant.

I have never ate at their buffet, but have heard it's just plain continental fare or you can upgrade $$ to a hot buffet. There are so many wonderful places to eat breakfast around the Crossroads area if you want a full service restaurant.

About two days before my arrival date I always call to request a parking lot room which is much quieter than facing the I-4 highway.

Happy trails~

There are also alot of reports about the Comfort Inn LBV at Tripadvisor.com. (just type in "Comfort Inn, Lake Buena Vista" in the search box) It seems like a really mixed bag. I'm going to stay there in two weeks, and I'll let you know how it was.

Thanks for all replies. I did try the search feature late last night and it was disabled. I'll try again. We will be spending so little time in the room, that all we need is a place to lay our heads. The heated pool is a must. The mini-refrig is also a must. We're diet coke aholics!! Yea, we might just try the continental breakfast to get us to the parks and eat a light snack there. It's good to know about the I-4 noise! Thanks again, anyone else tried this place?:wizard:

Stayed there over New Year last year. You want to ask for rooms facing Park Palmway, but if the hotel is full then they won't make any guarantees. Some rooms have been recently renovated, and others are a bit scruffy. We changed rooms three times, but I must say that the front desk did try to be helpful. There are two pools I think, and one was very warm like bathwater. No complaints on that score. Didn't use the buffet. The fridge and microwave came in handy.

LauraR, I reread your comment and went to tripadvisor. Doesn't sound like the place for us. On another note I called CRO and put a hold on Beach Club for $174 a night!! That's as low as I've gotten with the AP discount. thanks for helping with my choices!!:teeth:

Badger Brent-
Glad you got a good rate for the Beach Club! That ought to be just a wee bit more luxurious than the Comfort Inn---have a great time! :)

Just a WEE.....BIT!! My wife was the one for the budget hotels. But when I told of the BC deal SHE even said yes. I was in shock, I thought I would have to do some fast talking. She must be in the holiday spirit.:boat: :happy1:
