You can check on mears transportation website and see about getting a shuttle. I saw on a review on tripadvisor that they took a taxi from the airport to the hotel and it was $50.

I wish I could've gotten a deal like this...but that means I would have to cancel 4 nights of activities or have taxis take us around. Not worth spending the money on taxis.

You should also look into the value resorts...I booked 11 nights there for $915 with tax, which I found to be cheap for being on disney property. The rooms are $74 a night. Since we have never been and will not be back for who knows how long I am just going to go ahead and stay put. It honestly will not save me any money to switch because I booked so many night time activities and early park breakfasts around the disney transportation

Does anyone know if there is a public bus system that you can take from disney (I guess dtd area or any of the parks) back to the hotel? If you were to miss the scheduled shuttle or weren't leaving that early?

You can take a Disney bus thats going to DTD and a taxi to the hotel from DTD is around 8-10$. I have also walked back to the hotel from there on occasions.

A taxi back direct from the park is around $25

Also, for the shuttle back to the hotel I always make sure I get back to the stop at Magic Kingdom, as it picks up there first, and at busy times, if you are at the last park to pick up, you may not get on, or have to stand.

Wondering how much it would be to get to the hotel from the airport.. is there a shuttle that stops at many of the hotels in the area.. or do you just take a taxi. I have normally stayed on site.. but $$$ is really tight so am looking to spend less and this seems like a great deal!

The Mears shuttle from Orlando International to Comfort Inn is $33 return, or $20 one way. You can book online.

I'm here now, in the middle of a 10 day stay..

They no longer have the complimentary breakfast. If you want to dine you must pay 8.99. They may give you a 4 dollar off coupon.

I've taken the shuttles every day and have found them to suit my needs. They stagger the times so that they can have buses arrive to take guests to each of the parks.

So the Epcot bus we took went to Epcot. The Universal bus went to Universal, etc. They were on time except once they arrived 4 minutes late. But even that would be considered on time. Mostly they will arrive early and not 'depart' until the time posted on the schedule.

The hotel is nice, clean and they do have ice machines and we did laundry for the first time today. 2 bucks to wash, 2 to dry- they were clean and they came out dry.

The pool is nice and clean. They have pool towels out by the pool and plenty of chairs and tables w/ umbrellas if you want to have a picnic poolside.

how are the room renovations doing do you know, is there any construction going on at the moment, any disruptions?
