Normally, I am the Queen of spouting off lines from movies, but I found someone who has bested me and I realized there are some classic comedies I haven't seen. So, help me make a list and see what I need to go rent at Blockbuster to get caught up.
I haven't seen Porky's - I was too young when it came out! Got to rent that. I hadn't seen Old School, so I rented it - that was hilarious.
Some examples of what I am talking about...Airplane, SpaceBalls, Young Frankenstein, Anchorman, the Jerk, Hot Shots, Austin Powers...(seen all these)
What are your favorites???

Meet the Parents/faukers. Those are hilarous. I mean rofl! um what was that one with all the super heroes? any one know what i'm talking about?
My big fat greek wedding, romantic comedy. I liked it.
alot of those you named are really good. but you HAVE to see Meet the parents/faukers.

How about THE PEST starring John Leguizamo

Pretty tasteless humor but I laughed through the whole movie :rotfl:

The one with the superheroes? I vaguely remember what you're talking about, but can't remember the name for anything! I had seen Meet the Parents, but not the other one, so we rented it a few weeks ago and I liked it better than the first! Loved My big fat greek wedding, too.

Need to see the Pest, too. Got to write that one down!

What about any of the Monty Python movies?

Have the Holy Grail, seen Life of Bryan and some of the TV shows. Any other movies of theirs that stand out as really good? I know there's a lot...

My daughter and I love How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.

I liked Meet the Parents way more than Meet the Fockers. IMO, that airplane scene, as he was standing in line to board the plane, but his aisle wasn't called yet was the funniest scene I've ever seen in a movie. I just loved it!

I see you've got Porky's listed, so if you're okay with that, the American Pie movies are quite funny.

Liar, Liar is funny.

Blazing Saddles & Caddyshack are two of the funniest movies ever made.

Something About Mary. I laughed so much I was almost crying :rotfl:
I also like Christmas Vacation.

Have fun!

Terri

ps
Dodgeball and Anchor Man are funny too :)

The Naked Gun movies are really funny along the lines of Airplane movies. The John Hughes movies of the 80's Sixteen Candles, Ferris... are all funny, Bill Murray movies of the 80's like Stipes and Caddyshack are still funny.

A Fish Called Wanda

and the original version of The Producers (haven't seen the new one yet, but plan to)

My two very favorite comedies. :)

i was deeply ashamed, but laughed and laughed at Saving Silverman

The comedy about the superheroes is Mystery Men with Ben Stiller & William H Macy. IT even has a cameo with Tom Waits :)

Animal House and Blue Brothers (but NOT Blues Brothers 2000).
In addition to the aforementioned Monty Python movies.
If you are going to watch Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein, then also throw in History of the World Part 1.
Early (very early) Woody Allen - Take The Money and Run and Sleeper (one of the funniest movies I've seen over and over) and Annie Hall.

Animal House, truly is :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: . The first time my son saw it he laughed so hard he fell off the couch.
