Come with me on a Journey to a Far away place inhabited by Mythological Gods and Constellations. Through the Portals we go to an Epic Universe.

There is a lot of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beast merchandise here that I have never seen before.

This backpack has some Green fluid in the front of it. I have never seen a backpack like this before.

The inside of the backpack had the tile pattern that is in the Metro-Floo.

I had seen this hard plastic Werewolf hat by the Curse of the Werewolf merchandise cart by the ride. It is pretty scary. I saw a couple of people wearing it.

The Other Worlds Mercantile is full of merchandise from all the Worlds.

There is no way you would not find something you wanted on your way out of park at this store.

The interior of the stores are done so beautifully.

Tuesday, May 6th continued

After I was done looking in the shops I continued on and found the beautiful Starbucks.

I decided to go in and have a look around. I did not want to order anything yet as it was lunch time and I would stop by later maybe for a drink.

IMG_4536.jpeg

The mermaid mural was pretty. There was a little bit of a line iniside but not to bad. There is another Starbucks walk up that is closer to the other end of the park.
IMG_4538.jpeg

They do have the Universal Epic Universe Starbucks cup. I was tempted to buy one, but I had limited space in my suitcase so I decided to skip it this time.
IMG_4537.jpeg

I cannot say enough about the beautiful Architectural design that is Celestial Park.

I watched an interview with Adam Revist Executive Producer of Celestial Park. He said “They took design ideas and elements of Architecture inspired by the great World Fairs of the 1880’s and 1940’s and layered that with Celestial designs”.

I looked on the internet for photos of past World Fairs and I could appreciate the design elements that were borrowed for Celestial Park.

Beautiful exterior photos of Celestial Park Shops.

A view of some of the buildings and Stardust Racers from my hotel room.

I continued along my way after I left Starbucks and headed to Isle of Berk. I had gone in yesterday evening and had a look around, but I really wanted to explore the area a little more.

IMG_4840.jpeg

IMG_4842.jpeg

You pass by this massive stone after you pass through the portal. I love at the end it says “WE HAVE DRAGONS LOTS OF DRAGONS.

IMG_4843.jpeg

It is so beautiful with the large carving of the Viking and the Dragon at he beginning of the waterway.

Your eyes begin to take in all the various structures and colors. I read that this Portal contains one of the largest worlds.
IMG_4844.jpeg

IMG_4846.jpeg

I walked past this cute animatronic of the little Dragons fighting over a fish. It was cute.
IMG_4847.jpeg

The view of the Viking long boats decorated with the shields on the water and Mead Hall and the tall Dragon houses in the distance are vary picturesque.
IMG_4848.jpeg

IMG_4849.jpeg

This is a walk up restaurant you can order food at.
IMG_4850.jpeg

There is a nice covered large open lodge with open sides all the way around it. It is located right across from the Spit Fyre Grill. It has a lot of seating for you to enjoy your food. It also overlooks the Fyre Drill boast ride on one side.

I stopped and looked at the Snow Wraith. It blows out cold air every few minutes.

IMG_5674.jpeg

IMG_5675.jpeg

IMG_5676.jpeg

There was a nice size line to meet Toothless.

I stopped to watch the interaction for a few minutes and the actors were so good with everyone. It did not seem that this was a rushed interaction with the Toothless the Dragon and the Viking Hiccup.
IMG_4857.jpeg

I stopped into Toothless Treasure Store and bought some things for my little Great-Nephew J.
IMG_4858.jpeg

I bought him a Toothless backpack, a Toothless T-shirt, two of the Dragon Eggs that contain baby hatchlings and small plush Dragon. I had the items shipped to my house.

It is nice that they get your date you will return home so they don’t not sent the items until you are home.

The shipping rates are very reasonable and it is a great way to get some of your purchased items delivered to your door without you having to figure out how to get them home especially if you are flying.

As I walked along I saw The Untrainable Dragon show was going to start in about 10 minutes and I wanted to see the show.

IMG_4859.jpeg

IMG_4860.jpeg

I went in and there were plenty of places to sit.

The show was fantastic. One of the best shows I have ever seen at a theme park. It is a bit of struggle to actually call Epic Universe a theme park because it feels like it is so much more than that.

The only thing that was missing from the show was the fly over by Toothless and Hiccup and I would have never missed it if I had not read that it was part of the show. Really the show was so good it not a big deal to me.

I know sometimes I will give the shows a miss at the parks as I always want to do other things, but don’t miss this show It is fantastic and along with that it is a great way to take a rest and cool off in the airconditioning.

The only issue that was distracting during the show was the fact that there were a few people with their phones out recording the show. There are signs asking you not to do that.

These were adults that had their phones out recording. It is hard not being distracted by the lights on the phone especially if they are in the row in front of you or even three rows in front of you.

Next up more on Isle Berk

There was no fly over when I saw it either. I’m hoping it will be part of the show the next time I go.
I hope you get to see the fly over on your next visit. I’am looking forward to seeing it too.

It would add another dimension to a already incredible show.

The Isle of Berk is so detailed. Everywhere you look there is something new and interesting to see.

After watching the show I came out and got back on the main walkway and turned right.

I looked up and saw Dragon tails hanging out of these Dragons houses.
IMG_4861.jpeg

Next up I wanted to have a look in Mead Hall. This is the grand dining chamber carved inside the mountain Rock that serves Norse-inspired food.

IMG_4870.jpeg
It was so fun walking around inside. There were large Tapestry’s of the Vikings and Dragons hung on the walls of the large dining room as well as beautiful wood carved alcoves and Dragon cornices. The massive metal chandelier with dripping candle lights added to the Viking grandeur.
IMG_4871.jpeg

IMG_4872.jpeg

The Tapestry’s were of pivotal characters from How to Train your Dragon Movie.

There is a nice large carved Dragon Chair to sit in for a nice photo op.

Even if you do not plan to have a meal at Mead Hall it is worth going in and having a look around.

More to come on Isle of Berk

I am so enjoying your trip report! Plus, I’m in your situation with a husband not as interested in traveling anymore for health reasons. Glad you aren’t letting it stop you! I just returned from a solo Alaska trip. Would prefer his company, but want to see Alaska one way or another. Love your photos and commentary, thanks!

Thank you flowergirl45 for your kind comments on the trip report and photos.

So glad to have you reading along.

I found over the years there are a number of us ladies on the boards here that do travel solo because our husbands are not interested in traveling anymore or some because of health reasons.

Like you I would love to have my sweet hubby along, but he understands my need to getaway to my happy place Universal from time to time.

Great to hear you are getting out and traveling too.

Tuesday, May 6th continued

After looking inside of Mead Hall I ventured back out into the Florida sun and decided to have a look inside the How to Treat Your Dragon Store.
IMG_4883.jpeg

It was full of Viking and Dragon Themed treats.
IMG_4884.jpeg

IMG_4885.jpeg

IMG_4886.jpeg

IMG_4887.jpeg

IMG_4888.jpeg

Once I came out of the store I continued along and saw this Dragon with its head outside of its house. It is a animatronic Dragon and it was so cool.
IMG_5677.jpeg

Again as you walk through Isle of Berk there is just so much detail every where you look.
IMG_4889.jpeg

I walked past the Dragon Racer’s Rally ride and a look at the folks enjoying their ride.
IMG_4890.jpeg

IMG_4892.jpeg

IMG_4893.jpeg

IMG_4894.jpeg

IMG_4895.jpeg

Even the benches are carved like Dragons.
IMG_4896.jpeg

I think I had rounded the whole World in Isle of Berk. I know I could have missed somethings, but I figured I would be back again so I would look to see if I had missed anything in the future.
IMG_4898.jpeg

I passed the Viking and the Dragon again that welcomes you on the water once you enter the Isle of Berk.
IMG_4899.jpeg

On the opposite side of the stone when you enter Isle Berk is a carved map of the Isle.
IMG_4903.jpeg

This world is absolutely beautiful.

Hats off to the creators of this World. Their vision and artistry is beyond the imagination.

Time will tell.
The land is there, as long as they get the numbers to work, assume it's a done deal
The Moonship Chocolates & Celestial Sweets Store is packed with interesting treats.
Not a cotton candy fan, cannot imagine chocolate flavored, interesting
Demiguise
I've read all the books & seen the movies. Cannot place this creature need to Google
There is no way you would not find something you wanted on your way out of park at this store.
Seriously, so much new merchandise

I've been walking that line of trying to avoid spoilers pre trip

Of course, saw the flyover pics No idea during the show

Would hate for the GD to miss them Can u give me an inkling when to look for them during the show? Either here or PM

So detailed, I thot it would be more of a lessor world there
HTTYD was my favorite land in the park. I think I spent half of my first day there.
So many who aren't even familiar with that franchise have ranked it highly

Admittedly, only saw 1st one as my kids had aged out by that point. DH hasn't seen any of them

Collective Q:

For those who have visited, do you think just viewing the original movie would be sufficient to follow the land's storyline?

So enjoying this trip report! Thought I’d chime in here on httyd. If you see the show, there is absolutely no way to miss hiccup and toothless flying if they are working. I’m 56 and my sister 62 and we loved this land! My sister had me watch all three movies before our trip last week and I loved them all with the last one probably being my favorite. Definitely worth a watch. 😉

Thanks so much for reviewing Helios including the breakfast buffet as we're considering trying that on our checkout day. Do you feel like it was a good value for the price? Also the real pics of the Monsters land jewelry were so helpful. I like the scarab necklace but I'm worried it might be a bit too Countess Luann (IYKYK). I think the red beads on the Dracula bracelet are clever but realistically I'll never wear it. A friend of mine attends a vampire dress up ball every year so it would be perfect for her event though! What was your favorite thing that you ate/drank while at Epic?
