His bowls of food are next to the fridge and IF he looked to the left he would see the mousy in the trap DEAD , so he would have no problem getting that one. Not even dead he's trying to catch it, he was just eating there when I saw it and he's not the least interested on the mouse. Can it get any more stupid than that??

That's actually very smart thinking for a cat. The reason cats play with mice as they kill them is to determine that they're healthy. Cat's don't want to eat dead mice that they find because they might make them sick.

Cats also only notice the movements of small things, so a dead mouse will never attract their attention. Ever roll an object near them and watch how uninterested they become once it stops moving?

And WHY is a dead mouse still there??? YUCK!! :earseek:

Because I am too chicken to touch it even if it's with a shovel !!!

LOL, MsKanga!!

I once had a dead mouse in my apartment in New York (cat wouldn't even LOOK at it!). I ran down the hall to get a neighbor, a dear 80 year old man who reminded me of George Burns. He took his precious time putting out his cigar and took a piece of newspaper and followed me back to my place. He picked it up with the newspaper and flushed it down the toilet! YUCK!!!

I wouldn't let him leave until he flushed it about 10 times!

Haven't seen a mouse since I left New York! That's one of the reasons I will not go back!

ROFL Robin, I don't think I would go on that potty again for the rest of my life!

About two years ago I went to go the bathroom and didn't have my glasses on nor my contacts in. I noticed that there was something in the toilet bowl. I put my glasses on and looked again, and there was a small field mouse swimming his little legs off, trying to keep above the water.

My DD begged me not to flush him (I hesitated doing that anyway for fear of clogging up the toilet and having it float back out again).

So, I got a strainer and a big spoon and scooped him from the water, into the strainer and yelled for my DD to open the front door. I literally "flung" him about 3 front yards down the street.

Hopefully, he didn't get a concussion and die anyway, but you can be sure I ALWAYS check the toilet now, WITH my glasses or contacts on, and always turn on the light in the middle of the night now. ;)

Oh great fojmo, I won't even go potty! ROFL

:earseek: FOJMO! I commend you for saving that poor little mouse's life but there was NO WAY I'd be able to do that! YIKES!
