32 days out and hoping for some pixie dust on my wait List! Otherwise I'm sure we'll be happy at Kidani Villas. It is Disney after all! Just most of our plans are at the MK & Epcot this trip. Was hoping for a monorail resort. I know the monorail resorts are extremely popular, but a girl can dream. We drive down, so we will have our own car. Just hoping for a little birthday magic for my little princess!

Kidani is a beautiful resort. If you don't have a savannah view, make sure to enjoy the animals from the viewing areas. Go out at night to view the animals with the night time binoculars they will provide for you.

Good luck on your waitlist, but chances are slim. Enjoy everything AKV has to offer!

Thank you! We did get a savannah view room! I requested Sunset View Savannah.

If you don't get your waitlist, enjoy AKV! We loved our 1 trip there. Tons to do between the community hall and all the cultural activities--in addition to the pool and animals! We loved our savannah view--animals are out there all night long.

I'm finally getting excited. The more I read on Kidani, the more I think the kids would really like it. They'll love seeing the animals at night!

Wow. Kidani gets no love. I guess I should be glad. AKV may very well be DVC's Best Kept Secret.

If you're driving (and we always do), you're 15 minutes from anywhere. Tops. Arguably 5-10 to most places (parking lots).

The rooms at Kidani are exquisite. The views aren't available anywhere else in the world. It's quiet and it's off the beaten path. It really may be DVC's best kept secret.

BTW, you're 2 miles off 192 and virtually every chain restaurant known to man. That can save you a TON of money from eating on-property, especially since you're driving anyway. You can go eat and be back at Kidani in an hour to an hour/fifteen.

That's great news to hear! We usually go spend a day at the outlet malls. I need to break out the map and look at everything! Thank you for the tips!
