I lost 2 lbs this week.
I'm starting to get used to this lifestyle change but at time it is still hard. I notice I'm very regimented during the week but when the weekend comes I tend to eat a little more. So I'll have a few cookies on Saturday night. I try to not to eat my extra 35 points so I can live a little easier on the weekend
Deb
Thanks everyone! 2 lbs keeps me motivated to continue on.
Joanne..I didn't even think about low calorie ice cream. I'll have to check that out. Last night I had a spoonful of cookie dough ice cream and I'm sure it wasn't one point.
Deb
Can I join in on this too?? I need some motivation!
My name is Jen, I'm 27 years old and last night I joined Weight Watchers. I never lost the 60 pounds from when I had my DS2. And then I gained an extra 20 pounds on top of that! Yikes!!
Today was the first official day of me tracking my points and I think I did a great job. After dinner I still had 6 points left my MIL (who has been doing WW for awhile now) told me that I have to eat those points because it will help me with my weight loss...I feel like I've eaten so much today...lol who ever thought a diet would be that way??
As long as I eat on a regular schedule (which I never did before), keep track of all my points and exercise a few times a week (which I haven't been doing hence 20 pound weight gain AFTER my DS was born).
We're going to WDW at the end of September (my DH's first trip!!) and I want to feel good so I'm not tired the whole time walking around there.
The real shocker was when I got on the scale last night and found out I weighed 280lbs (AHHHH!!). It was a real eye opener for me that I need to do something about this. I know I'm 6ft tall and all, but if I let myself continue on this path, it's going to get uglier.
I would like to lose at least 30lbs before our trip in September. That's a start right? I've never tried to lose weight before like this so I don't know what a good, reachable goal would be.
I will post a pic after I get enough courage to let my DH take one (I've been hiding from camera's for awhile now) and when I figure out how to post on this thing...
I've been reading thread and all you ladies are truly doing an amazing job! Keep up the good work!
Hey! Not sure if anyone here remembers me!! I was posting for awhile but then got super busy. I decided to get a job to help pay off some bills quicker and I am in school full time. Not counting the running with 3 kiddos.![]()
So anyway I have lost a total of 7 lbs since starting. I haven't been able to exercise now that I am working but I am hoping to get a schedule going to get the excercise incorporated back into my daily schedule.
keikojmp, we are similar in height and weight. I am 6 ft and down to 252. I am hoping to lose 50 lbs by our trip in December but would be pretty happy with any weight loss. I have losts of family in Canton. We grew up in the Saint Clairsville area. Small world.![]()
Hi everyone!!
I was MIA for a couple weeks, but now I am back. I had a great weigh in this morning - I am at 195.6 (down 16.4 lbs since Jan 3!!). Still not at my new jeans, another 0.6 lbs to go, but I am hoping by the weekend that will come off too.
I have been focusing on water and portions. I kind of gave up counting points so I really am not officially a Weight Watcher anymore, but I am sticking to my new look at food. I find that I no longer eat when I am not hungry, and it is not even that hard anymore. I just chose not to eat, and that is that.
My only downfall is salty foods, so I try to keep them to a minimum and drink a lot of water with them. Oh, and alcohol on the weekends, but then too I drink a glass of water between each drink. Therefore I drink less alcohol and stay hydrated with the water.
Still waiting to find out if I am pregnant, will know this weekend. I am torn between excited to get pregnant and have a baby and not excited about the weight gain!! But this time I have sworn I will not "eat for 2" like I did last time. I will eat healthy balanced meals until I feel satisfied (this is much easier to say right now when I am not craving ice cream like I did last time)
Welcome newcomers!! I will post some more photos soon, I really want to hit that 20lb mark before I do, but only 3.6 lbs to go!!
Deb, how are you doing? Are you finding it harder without the meetings? Keep us posted.
Talk to you all soon!!
Amy
Welcome everyone. It is the end of the month and I will work on posting a photo to show my progress, and since this is a thread about photos, where are the others? This is great motivation to keep us on track.
I started the first phase of my exercising in February, after starting the consumption change in December. I started at 293 pounds and my weigh-in yesterday for the Biggest Loser Challenge was 262.2. I have spent this month on cardio (treadmill, stationary bike) and getting prepared for the half-marathon next January. And because I was an athlete early in life I have ran through the times when I wanted to quit, but I established goals for each workout and I hate not meeting those challenges. And this last Thursday I ran 6 miles, while watching four episodes of the Simpson's second season.
This month I will add another type of workout, along with the cardio. I have not decided yet, but probably more crunch workouts to work on my "washboards"![]()
So sometime today I will post my starting photo and end of February photo as an update.
How about everyone else?
Dave
Well here we are. Over two months on a new lifestyle and I think I see a difference. I know my clothes fit MUCH better and I feel healthier. I do have much more weight to lose but I know it takes time and effort. After all, gaining the weight takes time and no effort, so I guess the choice is clear.

My DW and I in Disneyland this last Christmas (293 pounds). Just witnessed the proposal of our future son-in-law and our daughter the night before, after the fireworks on Main Street.![]()

Photo taken February 28th (262.2 pounds). There is a little change, with more to come.![]()
See you all again at the end of March. I will learn how to create smaller photos by then.

Feeling a little discouraged...
I started Weight Watchers last Tuesday. And I have to say that I am doing a really good job of using only my points. I went over one day by 5 points, but that's why they give you the extra 35 points for the week anyway. I've been working out a little bit, but not as much as I should be because of my schedule being so hectic this week.
I'm feeling like my family and my husband aren't being supportive. My husband tonight was trying to get me to eat McDonald's with him after I had already had dinner and I don't have any points left...it's frustrating...I just feel like I don't have a good support system within my family...I don't know, maybe I'm just whining![]()
I know I have to do this to get healthy...and like I said, I think doing great, but a part of me really wanted a double cheeseburger from McD's this evening...though I wasn't hungry! ggrrrrrrr
One great thing is that it's been 5 days and no caffine and no SODA!!!! That was the biggest hurdle for me to overcome. I got over the headaches after day 2 and haven't craved it...I know it's been 5 days, but that's a very big step for me![]()
So we'll see if this is paying off for me on Tuesday when I go to Weight Watchers...I hope I lose at least a pound...I'm just afraid that I'm not going to have lost anything...
Okay I'm done complaining and now I'm going to focus on being postitive!
I can do this right?
Hope everyone is having a good weekend...I'll post again after my meeting on Tuesday!
Jen
Good morning everyone. I didn't lose any this week but I didn't gain either so I'm OK. My two month mark will be Wednesday so I went ahead and had my husband to take a picture. I couldn't belive the different in my face, neck and stomach areas. I can now really see my 14 lbs melt away! I did start my pilates Wednesday night (30 mins) and Thursday night (30 mins) but by Friday I could only do 10 mins I was hurting so bad. I took a break and will start back today.
I don't know how to post pictures so I'm sorry I can't share, but beleive me I'm so glad I started a program to lose weight.
