Sorry I really don't try to pick fights, but the "our"s in your post make it sound like, what I'm assuming is White, is what rules this country. Only about 66% are non-hispanic White. This number is expected to go down to 46% in about 34 years. So I'm not really sure what you mean by "our" country. This country belongs to all races, and religions. All were once welcome here.

But you're probably thinking of his preacher, right? I've never seen Obama himself make a bad statement, but feel free to provide evidence.

I'm glad that Obama is now going to be our President, because it proves that this country is finally able to get it's nose out of the air and grow up. African Americans and women have struggled so much throughout our history and still do in many ways. They have had their rights completely stripped away and were treated no better than a stray dog sitting at a run-down street corner. They've had to fight for every ounce of equality they've recieved and although they were told as children that they could be WHAT EVER they wanted to be when they grew up, the adults knew that it wasn't neccessarily the case.

Now, though? Now no one has an excuse anymore. Anyone, whether they be black, white, purple, male or female, can do what ever they set their mind to.

Living in a solid red state, I know that today I'm going to run into a lot very upset people, but I don't care anymore. They can complain and throw hissy fits as much as they want, because that's not going to change anything. Barack Obama is going to be the next President of the United States of America and FINALLY, change is in the air.

Now....how long do you think it will take for us to finally have a WOMEN president?!

This was expected. No surprise to me. I almost cried when they announced it with his picture. I saw how happy those people were and how hard blacks have fought for this moment. It just really got to me.

Hilary would have been good, too, but I really think Bill hurt her case. (Not that he wasn't a decent president.. but you know)

Haha, I remember a few years ago when he was a state senator he was having a TOWN HAL MEETING HERE. And I didn't want to go because I thought it'd be too boring.

My family is gonna get more taxes now, but it's the best thing for our nation.
Obama's economic plan will most likely get us out of debt, while McCain's will probably double our debt.

Our country was messed up, even before Bush came into office!!! I absolutely HATE when people blame him for everything. He's only human. And guess what, we humans cannot do this alone. Its too big. Barack cannot make this country different in just 4 years. It ain't happening!

How the HELL is Obama racist???? Give me one example of him being racist. And if you pull the "Muslim" card, you need to read some more and get your facts straight.



Anyway, I am SOOOOO happy Obama won! This is definitely a step in the right direction for the USA. Even if he can't fix the USA in four years, it's definitely going to be a huge improvement from Bush.

we are over 11 trillion dollars in debt. and if that doesnt say enough, go ahead and google american problems.

we needed change, and obviously america was ready and willing for that change. race has nothing to do with it. because we all bleed the same on the inside, kids. before you slam someone, perhaps you should do your research and listen to his speeches. it was the immaturity of the republican audience boo'ing mccain as he mentioned obama's name that we didn't need. that seeled the deal for me; america had finally made a good choice.
