Count us in. DH and I will be at MK all day and all evening. I didn't realize this was the 40th until a few months ago. And I already had breakfast booked at Cindy's place.
I'll keep checking for a time and place.

I'm another that has a kid running the in the Kid's Race that AM, but I'm also running the Half Marathon that night, so not sure what our plans the rest of the day will be. However, we *should* try to get over there on the park's birthday, so if we're there at 2pm, we'll shoot to meet up!

We will do our best to be at there. Sometimes, with little kids plans havae to change, but we will do out best. How will we all id each other. Should we proudly display a lime green mickey head somewhere, backpack, stroller etc???

I will have my LGMH on my bag. I think that might be a good way to ID each other. My dad and I will be staying to watch the parade, so if you were planning to watch with your kids you could camp out by us. We don't mind sharing space with the little ones.

we will be at animal kingdom that day but will try and join in, didnt know that there may be other things happening that day so glad you informed us of it. May change our plans for that day so we can meet up will check back to see what was decieded as far as the meet goes!

I haven't heard much more about what is planned, other than something is planned. I have heard that there will be some presentations and possible character extras.

Nothing is set in stone yet. I just said 2pm to get the ball rolling. I thought that 2 would be a good time because that is an hour before the parade. That way if anyone wanted to leave before it started, we would still have time to talk. Not sure how long the meet will last. Depends on how everyone that shows up feels. In January I went to two meets. One lasted maybe 10 minutes at the most. The other one was over an hour. Both were fun, it's nice to put faces to the names we see online all the time.

As of right now I am going with 2pm near the Partners Statue. I thought that was a nice central location for everyone. Can't wait to see you there.

I heard today that WDW themselves tweeted that there will be something going on. They just won't give many details. Anything they do will work for me, just being there that day will be awesome.

I made a backup ADR just in case. I have one for breakfast at Crystal Palace for 10:30ish. But if something is going on, I will have to miss that one. I would keep yours a little longer, see if anything is announced, before you cancel.

I've been poking around some other forums and the Orlando newspaper & TV websites and I've only been able to find people saying they have "hints" as to whats coming but no actual info. I know WDW has let some anniversaries slip away in the past, 20th at HS and 25 at EP, but I'm sure they would do something at MK 40!

If not, at least I can say I was there!

I'm SO GLAD I found this thread! I'll be making my first solo trip (after 39 years ) to run the Wine & Dine Half Relay. I'm not sure I'll make the rope drop (or I'll drop while running at 1:00am), but would love to meet up at "Partners" at 2:00.

I completely agree with your son. I was originally going to go by myself if no one else wanted to go. My mom wasn't too keen on the idea though, so she told my dad to go with me. We didn't have to twist his arm too much. Hope to see you there.

All I have heard is hints, also. I did read on another site that someone who is a CM, said that they received a note saying that there would be a "character flood" and a mini celebration in the Castle Hub. But only on the 1st.

I also heard that they are going to be selling a pin that says I was here on the 40th. Something along those lines. I will definitely be getting one of those. Even if they don't do anything, I just want to be able to say that I was there!

I'm glad you found this thread! The more, the merrier. It looks like we have a nice group that will be showing up for the meet at 2:00. I can't wait to meet everyone.

What are your plans for the rest of your trip? Maybe we will run into each other at some other point. If so, don't be shy. I love to talk, especially about Disney.

Thanks for joining us. I suggested 2pm at the Partners statue and everyone started to agree. So I would say that is now the official time and place. I will go update the 1st post. Hope to see you there!
