Combo PTR & TR w/a side of Scrapbooking: I'm Back! TR link posted!

And of course my scrapbook layouts for DHS in case you kissed them the first time around!
:lmao: I was scrolling down to reply to everyone and just noticed I put kissed instead of missed. This girl has got too much on her mind these days!
Oh Online Check In I can state an arrival time - I think I will use this feature :thumbsup2 Thank you for telling me!

I love your scrapbook pages, now having shared your PTR and getting to know you better seeing them again is really nice!

BTW - we will be in DHS that same day ! I've learnt DHS on a Fantasmic day is the way I am use to, so maybe I can use my experience to avoid the lines:rotfl:
We have a similar list of to do's, but I don't know it we'll get both LMA and Indiana Jones in. We've never done them before due to time.
Perhaps we'll run into each other at DHS! We're going to stay as long as hte crowds aren't too bad. I doubt we'll get all the big stuff in but I have another day set aside for all that we miss on the first day. :thumbsup2
Hey, I'm so excited for you!!:banana: Just a few days, wooo hooo!

I have to tell you that I'm loving my memories suite and digital scrapbooking. I've had a total blast finding disney kits, designs and especially freebies. I'm working on a weekly challenge for a scrapbooking site this week. It has a great prize. You probably already know about it. I will say it is challenging to keep it all organized. I just purchased a new external HD to help with that. Any tips on how you keep it all organized to know what you have? Kind of overwhelming.

I recently found the kellybell stuff and LOVE it. Just got our photopass cd this week from our last trip, can't wait to work on some of it. So much I want to work on, so little time.

Can't wait to keep up with your trip. Hope you guys have a super trip and here's some pixiedust: wishing you great weather!

I'm still figuring out all the organizing of files. It's a daunting task. Some people organize it according to the designer that made each kit but I kind of have things set up according to what it is in different categories like Seasons, Birthdays, Baby & Childhood, Love & Wedding, etc. For example my Vacation Folder would look like this-

Vacations is the main folder and in it I have these subfolders
  • Disney (of course)
  • Cruise (I have some kits for a cruise scrapbook I'm supposed to be working on for my parents :rolleyes1 )
  • Beach
  • Camping
  • Amusement Parks

For stuff that doesn't fit into any theme I have a folder labeled General with subfolders like Alphas, Overlays, Papers & Backgrounds, General Embellishments, etc. and each of those is broken down into more folders. In Papers and Backgrounds it has these subfolders- Solids (in that are subfolders for reds, blues, etc.) Patterns (in that one are subfolders for stripes, florals, polka dots, etc.)

Right now I have everything backed up on an external hard drive. I would have a hissy fit if I lost all of it!

HI Drakes :wave2: Hope you do not mind me jumping into the conversation. I have always been a traditional scrapbooker but I am SERIOUSLY considering given Digital a try. It seems much more forgiving so to speak than traditional scrapbooking can be.

Ohh!!! Care to share? I am curious to what page kits you have used in the past and what store you use now. Especially for Kellybell's things--I love her DISigns. :goodvibes

I Pm'd you some info :goodvibes

Daunting is the word...I like your organization method. It's kind of how I have all my traditional scrapbook supplies set up. Yes, all the ones I'm no longer using, lots of stickers and paper. I figure as soon as I get rid of any of that stuff my kids will need to use it for school projects.

I had started a notebook where I put several kits on a page, their preview pages and then printed out the page. I am burning those files to a disk and labeling the page to match the disk name. And just dropping the disk in the sleeve with the printout. Thinking I'd pull disks as I worked on projects. But I think I'm going to have to pool all my disney stuff into a folder on my hard drive and leave it there to use all the time. Seem to be able to use things from several different kits for disney stuff.

Thanks for sharing your methods. Can't wait to read along on your TR. I know you have a hectic few days getting it all together. Hope it all goes smooth and you're in the happiest place on earth quickly and your time there goes by slowly. :goodvibes

Hi Charlefours - I will be doing my serious research into digital scrapbooking when I return from my trip... is there a thread on the DISignas board? if not we could start one :)

I don't know if it is the waiting that is getting to me or what but boy oh boy the day is going slowly today. I'm plenty busy enough but for the last week I just feel like the days have been dragging and Disney will never get here. I wish time would move this slowly while we're in Disney but I'm sure it will fly by and before I know it I'll be home.

I got everything organized this weekend and am just about finished packing!!!!! Just have to add the last minute stuff on Thursday! DS’s room is serving as my prep area. ;)

I also personalized the stroller to make it easier to find among all the millions of identical strollers in the stroller corrals!

There used to be a thread but most of the digital scrappers left a while back and went to mousescrappers dot com. There was some kind of "to do" about digital vs. regular and about not being able to share info about digital stuff because it is advertising. Yet regular scrappers can share when stuff is on sale at Michaels or Joanns? It was a high school drama queen type mess. :sad2: There is limited digital stuff on that forum now.
Hey Kim! :goodvibes

Your plans look great! :thumbsup2 Hope DHS isn't too crowded for you! :)
I hope not either- good thing we got hoppers just in case!

I pretty much organized it how I had my regular stuff organized too. It was easiest for my brain. :thumbsup2 It's still hard to remember what all I have and where it is when I need it sometimes though.

I’m going to finish sharing my daily plans for the rest of the trip today because today is the only day I think I will have the time to do it!

So here goes…

DAY THREE
Monday Jan 25- Starting our Day with the Princesses!!!!!

We’ll be starting this day by having breakfast at Akersus in Epcot. Em is going to be so excited to see all of her “pincesses” I’m really hoping Jasmine will be there since she is one of her favorites! princess:

After enjoying a lovely breakfast, well take some time to explore Epcot. Last trip we barely stepped foot into World Showcase so we will be making more time for it this time.

DAY FOUR
Tuesday Jan 26
We’ll probably be hitting MK again today…hopefully getting up early enough for Rope Drop. The kids want to go early to play in the bubbles again!:goodvibes

DAY FIVE
Wednesday Jan 27- DH’s Birthday!!!

I think this is the day I’m looking forward to the most! We’re starting off at Ohana’s having breakfast with Lilo and Stitch. Not sure where we’ll head from there. It’s DH’s birthday and he gets to decide. At some point in the afternoon we’ll head to Epcot for dinner at Coral Reef. After dinner we’ll be having a little DIS meet with Northern Disney Girl and her family! Then it’s time for my favorite Illuminations!!!

Some Epcot pics from last time…

DAY SEVEN
Friday Jan 29
We’ve left this day open to visit what we have not covered yet or whatever we liked best and want to do again. :thumbsup2

DAY EIGHT
Saturday Jan 30

I don’t want to post about this day so I’ll make it short and sweet.
Wake up, load the car, have Mickey waffles for the last time at Old Port Royale, start driving north. Nuff said. :sad2:

So adorable! Is that enlarged, framed and hung somewhere in your house? :)

"Nuff said" indeed. Leaving day stinks!

Not yet, but we're getting close! I have the PIN code through the end of the year (but we're still hoping for free dining) which will help. I'm about 99% sure we'll be staying at CBR. I'm about 75% sure of dates...just need to sit down with DH and go over pros and cons of three different weeks. :dance3:

Wow, you really are very organized! We might bump into you on Thursday next week, will be at AK as well as at DTD! :thumbsup2

So Excited! You're so organized!
I still have laundry to do :laundy:

My head is spinning with what needs to be done!

It sure is! I have it in a 5X7. I'll have to take a pic of my Disney basement/day care and share. :goodvibes When we're all done with the new part of the downstairs, it will all be Disney themed! :goodvibes

I'll probably do a TR...I'll have to battle the post Disney blues somehow! The stroller license plates were made by a DISigner. :goodvibes
