What a wonderful plan! I would stay away from the mickey shaped clues. If he would get an idea before he opened the box it might spoil the surprise a bit... So why take chances?

Will you need to put something heavy in the box as well so it doesn't float away like the house in Up??

I didn't think about a weight! I don't plan on using that many balloons although maybe I should get hundreds and we could float to FL...it would save on gas and hours of traffic.

I don't think I'll use Mickey ears. Too risky! Plus I'd have to cut them all out and we all know how far I've gotten cutting out the countdown chains.

The surprise sounds great!! I can't wait to hear all about it!

I'm hoping I can pull it off! I'm ready to charge the video camera already! Come on Christmas!!!!!

The brown truck (as my kids call it) pulled in my driveway today! Good thing Em doesn't ask too many questions. If Andrew was home he would have immediately noticed that the box said Disney on the side.

The UPS guy brought these friends which I quickly hid in my closet until Christmas...

Jasmine is too cute and Em is going to LOVE it! Andrew will be thrilled with a new Buzz and Woody that actually work. Although I did notice that the voices are very different from the movie characters. Woody does not sound like Tom Hanks at all. Buzz sounds a little like Tim Allen but you can tell it's not him.

and somehow these were thrown in the box too. How did they know my size?

I threw these into the Disney trip stuff I have stashed.

Maybe I'll spend some time wrapping this evening!

I've been so busy lately that I feel like I've been neglecting all my DIS friends.

We got our Christmas tree up at least!

The kids had a blast decorating it...

Some had more fun than others!

Our Mickey ornaments we made last year before our trip!

Tried to get a pic of the kiddos for a Christmas card...

Thanks Shelly. I wanted to make more this year but am avoiding all things Disney while prepping for Christmas with the kids. We made them last year because we were so excited about the trip. Only 18 more days until I can talk about it in the open and even better, plan it in the open!

I can't keep out my binder or do anything to plan because they notice Mickey's picture on all of it. It's harder than I thought it would be. I've come VERY close to slipping quite a few times!

Glad you could join the party! It is a mixed feeling. I don't know how those people that wait until the day of the trip can do it. I am dying to get out the suitcases already! You can bet that the 26th those puppies will be out and have some stuff in them already!

We finally decided what's going in the BIG surprise box!

I bought them each a *few* t-shirts (Couldn't help myself- they were $2.50 at the outlet!!!) and a sweatshirt each for the trip. I worry that it might seem strange to open a bunch of Disney themed t shirts for Christmas so we decided they will go in the box.

So the contents of the box will be...

• A gift bag for each of them with Disney Tshirts and fun Disney socks I just happened to come across in the dollar section at Target. Filled the gift bags last night! I thought about wrapping them individually but I don't feel like it plus they never get excited about opening clothes and probably would tire after opening the first couple.

• Thermos Funtainers- keeps drinks cold and they don't leak! DS uses his Lightning McQueen one for school everyday. Worth the $12 they cost! Tink for DD and Star Wars for DS!

• A countdown chain for each of them- cutting these out tonight!

• A letter from Mickey telling them that we're going to Disney!

We're going to wait until Christmas Eve to actually wrap the big box. It might be hard to hide a 3'X4' box wrapped in Disney wrapping paper between now and then.
