Combo PTR & TR w/a side of Scrapbooking: I'm Back! TR link posted!

I have the microfiber wallet and I  it! Who doesn't love zebra print lining? :rotfl2:

My DH :lmao: only because of the cost of the zebra print lined wallet! :rotfl:

I've spent about 5 years lugging around a diaper bag in place of a purse. Mama needed a new purse! :woohoo:

LOL - that is so funny... as I tore through the rack of bags I saw the pattern I wanted - but lo and behold it was a diaper bag - I even contemplated it in stead of the backpack for the parks :lmao:Then I thought - "girl you gave up diaper bags years ago- what are you thinking !" I did check out the microfibre and loved the zebra lining, exspecially with us going to AKL and all. But I settled for my dream backpack in an ok pattern and to make myself feel better I bought the matching wristlet- for my Key to the World Card:thumbsup2

Oi - :headache: a wallet just for my Disney card - but I think us mommies deserve such a fancy little wallet! This will be my second Vera. Our first trip I saw everyone had them and feel in love with the patterns, then I saw all the hype on the boards and fell in love with the actual structure and room in them!

:goodvibes Hello My Eastern Seaboard friend who is also named Kim! ;) Just got caught up on all your trip planning stuff! :) Looks great! :thumbsup2

Love the countdown chain idea! That looks so great! Hope you were able to get some ink and finish printing it off!

I am so glad we are NOT surprising the girls this time around! They are having so much fun talking and planning! Your kids are gonna go nuts when you tell them! :cool1: You only have 35 more days until the big surprise! :woohoo:

Hijack away mt friend! At least it keeps me from being lonely and talking to myself.
I did word the letter carefully. I was informing them that he would be out those days. I never asked for permission. I didn't want to give them the chance to say no.

DH and I went to Niagara Falls- Canadian side :thumbsup2 years back before we had kids and loved it. I'd love to take my kids to see it someday. It was only about a days drive for us if I remember correctly. Shorter than a drive to Disney!

Glad you got your VB! I just bought my first VB purse last month. DH is worried what it's started. Now I want the wallet. :rolleyes1

I'm still here!! Just lurking more, don't really have much interesting to say! ;)

I'm sitting here bored to tears in a hotel room alone! Training trip from yesterday until tomorrow. Bummed because the hotel isn't WiFI, so I have to sit at the desk instead of lounging on the bed, and I can't even see the TV while surfing! I did however, get my nails and toes painted, planned my Black Friday Walmart shopping list, ran out to Old Navy and bought 7 shirts for $13 (ok, it was $23, but I had a $10 rewards certificate). Still a pretty good deal in my opinion...and two of those T's were my FIRST TWO Christmas presents for the boys. Vintage-y Spiderman tshirts, (matching ouf course, so they won't fuss about liking the other one better). 4 years apart, and they always want what the other one has!!!

I found them at my Target but the last couple of times I've tried to pick some up, they have been out. I've also seen them at Babies R Us but that store is further away so I'll keep checking Target. You can get them online too http://tabletopper.com/tabletopper/e-tailers.php

Thank you for the link. I will check to see if I can find them. If not, I may consider this: http://www.mom4life.com/catalog.php?item=1264 instead of the potty toppers. The only thing is it is not disposable so I would have to carry wipes as well (which I am thinking I am anyways? :confused3)

I found these countdown chains and I want to make one for each of my kids. I will put them in the Christmas surprise box- perhaps tied to a balloon or something fun!

There are some themed for all 4 Parks, Princesses, Pirates, Toy Story and Fab 5 characters! !!! I only need 29 links for each one and it's going to be hard choosing which ones to use!

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2018621

Only trouble is that as soon as I started printing them, my printer yelled that it's out of ink. Go figure. And I was so motivated to get these started. :headache: I'll head to the store this evening and get some ink I guess.

Thank you for this link too! I am still debating a calendar or countdown chain.

Just popping in to say hi Kim! I'm still here following along quietly. Trying to get all caught up with everyone since my trip. Your plans look great and I am so excited for you!! :goodvibes

Mama deserves a nice new purse (and wallet)! :goodvibes
She sure does...I'll have one before my trip! I just have to decide which one I like best. I like the wallet but I also like the wristlet to grab and go sometimes. I'm also eyeing up the lanyard and little coin/ID one too. Decisions...decisions!

Oh no Once you're done with diaper bags you can't go back. I did such a happy dance when DD was finally potty trained :woohoo: Now I just head out the door with my pretty little purse and keep a change of clothes in the car for her in case. :thumbsup2

It is getting harder. I almost slipped a couple times this weekend. :scared1: We're heading to my Grandmom's in Virginia this weekend and Andrew was asking how long of a drive. I almost said *not as long as the one to Disney in Jan!* Phew that was a close one! I gotta start being more careful!

I got my ink this weekend and will hopefully be printing today. :thumbsup2 Pics will follow shortly!

How yucky to be alone in a hotel with no WiFi! Congrats on planning your BF shopping :thumbsup2 I'm avoiding it this year and am a little sad about it. I don't have anything to buy this year but I will miss the fun of it. It's always interesting to see some of the craziness. But alas, I must save my dollars for Disney!

You're welcome for the links! :goodvibes 've never seen those covers before. I just worry about the germ factor of putting it on and off all the potties. Some potty seats are not that pleasant.

We did a calendar last year- printed it off of Disney . com so I figured we'd have fun with a chain this time around.

Thanks for stopping by Shelly! Now get out of here and get to work on a TR!!!!!!! I'm dying to hear about your trip!!!!!!! Shoo fly!!!

Wow! I took a little break from here for a couple days and it's amazing what you can accomplish when you're not DISing. :lmao: It feels great!!!!

I finished Emily's Age One scrapbook album...finally! :woohoo: AND I only have 2 more pages on Andrew's Age Four album. :yay:

Here's a link to Em's album if anyone wants to see it... I just have to pick a pic for the cover yet and order it while they are still offering 20% off and free shipping!
http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=0IbNW7FwzcMnSw

Next up is to start Emily's Age 2 album and Andrew's Age 5 album before they turn 3 and 6. :rolleyes1

My goal is to be caught up before we go to Disney. :thumbsup2

I got some ink and will be printing some countdown chains today!

Oh and my house is clean too! ;)

Very cute album!! I have been working on a calendar for my mom all weekend on Shutterfly.

Okay, I will scram and not come back until my TR is started! :thumbsup2

I have some digital scrapbooking questions :)
From my understanding you use digital scrapbooking software and create your designs, looks to be quite simple moving digital images into the templates etc.
I take it you then saave the whole thing as an image. And then you can upload it to a printing site, they will print and bind and ship to you?
If this is true- is the quality of print good? Where can I find costs? Can they print the 12X12 pages?
I am confused?

I love to scrapbook, but have no time and I think digital maybe the way I have to go to save time... I always have time to dis? but no time to scrapbook? :confused3 Poor excuse really!

Your book is beautiful!

I got cleaning done as well - we went through DDs bedroom top to bottom and ending up donating a trunk load (station wagon trunk) to the local charity shop! I can't beleive we had clothes so small in her closet? I told her she needs to tell mommy when they are too small so we can donate them sooner! I also found some of her cute pieces of artwork :cutie:
That took us most of the day Saturday with a few breaks for meals, snacks and shopping for baking supplies (yummy)
Then Sunday was breakfast with Santa! Some shopping and the afternoon I purged the guest room! This is the room that currently has 3 Disney Totes in it, The Disney Planning tote, The Travel Tote (with all the things we like to take with us that we only use when travelling) and then our Disney Shirts tote :lmao:a whole tote for Disney clothes!

Anyhow it felt very good to clear out the room, I also found all my carry-ons, so I am going to pick which one of the 3 we have I like best. Now that the room is free and you can see the bed, I can formulate a better shopping list!

Speaking of surprises, good thing I haven't told anyone about this trip, My mom almost gave away some of the other presents I had bought! :sad2: Oh and DH also said while we were all in the car "while you're away in Jan Dad is going to come help with the basement construction" (yes we're in the starts of finishing our basement), if my eyes could talk...:headache::sad1:
Did someone say 35 days until I can reveal this? I don't think I will surpirse again, I like the group discussions and planning too much.

Super funny to me as i went looking for a Christmas Party dress for my dd to sing in, and the only thing I found was a new purse for me! Must be the season!
:lmao: She might look a little funny wearing a purse while she's singing. Hope you went shopping again and found one!

Thanks Shelly! Hope your calendar turns out nice- feel free to share pics! :goodvibesShutterfly is wonderful. They make it almost TOO easy sometimes. I just made scrapbook/yearbooks for my day care families and am ordering the Age 1 album for Em and Andrew's Age 4 album today before the sale ends. Most of my income has gone to them this month!

I sure hope you gave your DH a stern talking to after he almost spilled the beans. :headache: Hang in there with me...only 30 something more days until the big surprise for us! It will be worth it!
As far as the digital questions- When you finish your page you can export it to a jpg file (picture file) and print it. Some people print at home 8X8 size, some buy printers that print up to 12x12. I was going to print 12X12 but it is costly to have so many printed and I really didn't want to get into buying a new printer and I was afraid of all the ink that would use. Some of my scrap friends use Costco to print their 12x12 pages. I like having them bound into an 8X8 book for me. I've only ever used Shutterfly but have not been disappointed so far. Right now they have their albums on sale 20% off plus they sent me a discount for $10 off and free shipping so it really isn't that costly when I compare having to buy a 12x12 album, page protectors, and having to print all those pages. I made yearbook albums for my day care families and paid $90 for 3 albums- each about 30 pages and while on sale at 20% off if that gives you any idea of the cost.:thumbsup2

Awww, that book is so sweet! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! Glad you liked it! :flower3:

Lookee what I printed!!!!! :cool1:

For Andrew- (I need to print one more sheet of Toy Story for him yet)

For Emily-

I just have to cut them out. I'm going to wait until closer to Christmas to connect them into a chain though. It's easier to hide them flat. ;)

OOH, those are so cute!! What a fun idea to do for a countdown.
I forgot to comment on your scrapbook for Emily. It is adorable!! I love the picture of her swimming and looking out the window at the snow. I have pictures in Sarah's book like in yours of her sleeping standing up and leaning on a couch too. The best part is the lovely letter you wrote at the end. I'm all teary! I should do that!

Don't you love it that they can sleep half standing up. :lmao: The other night she fell asleep leaning on the coffee table. :confused3 Andrew woke her up before I could get my camera though.
Didn't mean to make you all teary ;) I write a letter at the end of all their scrapbooks. I'm the youngest of 2 and have only a handful of pictures of me growing up so I really wanted my kids to know what they were like, where they came from and how much they are loved.

25 Days until Christmas...which means only 25 Days until my kids find out about the Big Surprise Trip to Disney World!

Dh and I sat and planned it all out last night.

He's in charge of finding a big box. I already bought the Mickey & Minnie wrapping paper to wrap it.

In the box will be...
  • Balloons- My next trip to Wally World I'm picking up the Balloon Time Helium Balloon Kit for $20 and I also will grab Mickey and Minnie mylar balloons from the party store near my house.
  • A countdown chain for each of them- still need to cut them out. :rolleyes1 I'm hoping to attach them to a balloon.
  • A letter from Mickey letting them know that they will be going back to Disney in 28 days! I'm attaching this to a balloon too.

The most fun part of the surprise Disney Box will be how they find it. We're going to make it a treasure hunt pirate:and they will follow clues to find it downstairs after they've opened all their gifts. I'm still debating on whether or not to make the clues on mouse ear shapes or not. :confused3 I don't think they will get it until the box is opened. I know DD won't but DS might be tipped off with hunting for hidden mickeys. ::MickeyMo

What a wonderful plan! I would stay away from the mickey shaped clues. If he would get an idea before he opened the box it might spoil the surprise a bit... So why take chances? :goodvibes

Will you need to put something heavy in the box as well so it doesn't float away like the house in Up?? :goodvibes
