Combo PTR & TR w/a side of Scrapbooking: I'm Back! TR link posted!

These hubby's just don't get it sometimes. My DH thinks you call Disney and book the trip and that's all the planning involved :scared1:

:welcome: I didn't think I'd fall in love with digital this much but once you get started it's sooooo easy and addictive! I use the Polaroid My Memories Suite Software- it's VERY easy to use. I've also heard great things about the Creative Memories software but it's a bit pricey for me. If you are on facebook, Polaroid My Memories has a page and have been giving away a copy of the software for every hundreth person to join (500, 600, 700, etc.) If you time it right, you could get it free :goodvibes It comes with lots to use and you can add to it with either their stuff or stuff from other sites.

Thanks for the info!!! I did want to ask you... I'm assuming you can print it out at home. Do you have the ability to save out jpegs to use in other applications?
Love your pages, look back at my trip report below, I have a few pics showing my scrapbook obsession (the old way).

We're up to about 4 inches today and it's still coming down!! I had to cram the kids' feet into their nearly too small boots today! I even followed a salting truck into work. Did I sleep through October and November??????

I'll post pictures on the snowbirds thread tonight when I get home.
4 inches already WOW! Time for some new snow boots. I bought some for my kids last year and we barely got anything.

Awww what cute pictures of your kids Kim!!!

BTW I loved using my CM Storybook!! It is a great program, now if I could just figure out how to save my layouts so I can show them to you guys!!!!
Does it have an option to save as a JPG? Once I finish mine I turn them into a JPG file and share them. I'm sure CM has that option- better get exploring and find it! :thumbsup2
SNOW?!?!?!?!:scared1:
I am SO not ready for snow! We've got lots of rain and highs in the 50's and low 60's! I feel for you northern peeps because it's already too darn cold for me! Although Saturday we had a gorgeous day. Started out really cold at our 9am soccer game...we'd had so much rain the few days before, I think the other team thought we were rained out. We got there only 15 minutes before game time and there were only a few players there. The other team started the game (we started about 10 minutes late waiting anyway) with 6 players. Before the 1st half they finally had a "legal" number of players. Drew was goalie and they scored on him! :sad1: That was only the second goal against our boys all year. We ended the game in a tie so "technically" we're still undefeated! ;)

After the game I took my first trip down to the wineries! The sun came out, there was an 80's band, it was just an awesome day! Lots of girl-talk and laughing! I'm not a huge wine drinker so I sipped on one glass the whole day, but laughed so hard my cheeks hurt!

Hope you all had a good Monday. I was off today (thanks Chris Columbus) so I cleaned all day. Not as productive as I wanted to be, but I still got a lot done!
I'm with you- bring on the SNOW!!!!! Sorry Drew had a goal scored against him but congrats on being undefeated still!

I turn them into JPG and can print at home if I want. I've made other stuff in it too like birthday invites and such. Whatever you make in it, you can export it to JPG. I usually don't print too many layouts at home because it takes up so much ink.

My DH thought I was crazy yesterday when I mentioned that we were at 100 days. :lmao:

They just don't get it. :sad2:
Shelly you get the award for first person to my double digit party. Thanks for getting here early to set up the decorations!;)

99 DAYS!!!!!!
:jumping1: :yay:  :cheer2: ::yes:: party:

I do what I can! :rotfl:

I felt bad for missing your 100 day party so I knew I had to be early to your double digit party!!! :cool1:

I've got ADR's on the brain today! I get to make my ressie's on the 25th so I really need to start deciding what I want.

We're doing the QSDDP and will be paying OOP for any sit downs. I'm trying to limit it to 2- this IS supposed to be a budget trip after all. I think I say that every trip though. :rolleyes1

I got DH to talk a little about it last night but as usual he doesn't really have much to say beyond *that sounds good* and *it doesn't matter to me* He does like breakfast more than dinner that way we start the day without having to worry about being somewhere later on. I showed him the Le Cellier menu and *gasp* he's not interested in eating there! :sad2:

So I guess I'll ask all my DIS friends to help me instead!
Here's my thoughts on ADR's...

We've done Chef Mickey and Crystal Palace the past 2 trips and I'd like to try something new. CP will be closed anyway so it makes that decision easy.

I'm considering...

Ohana's Breakfast

Akershus Breakfast- DD would  to meet her princesses and it's reasonably priced compared to CRT!

Garden Grill- I think they only do dinner. I read a little on it and heard the character interaction was great there. Perhaps DH's bday dinner here?

We may also go to Big River Grille one night but I don't need ADR's there.

Any thoughts? And I prefer more detailed responses than I get from my DH :sad2:

The Ohana breakfast is excellent and a lot of fun! Both of your kids would really enjoy it! :thumbsup2

Haven't been to Akershus of course.

We thought the Garden Grill food was not very good. The characters were great though, so I'm glad we did it. We just probably wouldn't go again based on the food.

He doesn't want to go to LeCellier?! :scared1: Well, it's probably better off that way since you are not on the regular DDP. It is very expensive (but very good!).

I definitely recommend Big River Grille. And if you go to their website and sign up they will send you a coupon for a free appetizer. But don't do it until you are under one month, the coupon is only good for one month.

What no Princess Storybook breakfast for the boys :lmao:
I looked at the menu for Garden Grill and it doesn't seem all that much for our tastes. DH and I would probably get the turkey and the kids would get mac n cheese. Not really anything special.

I think we will do Akershus and Ohana and Big River Grille one evening- perhaps for his birthday. Thanks for the tip about the coupon! :goodvibes I'll have to write a reminder to myself to print one out before we go.

I wish Disney had some character dining for boys. Stitch is good but my DS would love to have Mickey waffles with Darth Vader or Peter Pan and Captain Hook. Maybe I should put that in Disney's suggestion box!

Thanks you! :worship: I have been saying that for years!! So many princess meals, why not something geared for just boys??? :confused3 Star Wars, Pirates, Peter Pan. . . I could go on and on!

It is kind of silly if you think about it! I'm sure DH and DS aren't going to be thrilled to sit through a Princess breakfast but I know DD would LOVE it. I just wish they had something equal for him. I guess I'll just have to tell him to enjoy it now because in 10 years he's going to be wishing he could have breakfast with such pretty girls :lmao:

Maybe I will do the pirate's league so he has something too.

99 DAYS!!!!!!
:jumping1: :yay:  :cheer2: ::yes:: party:

That means I am at the double digit time too !!! I didn't even realize???? Where has time gone??? I think because this is a secret I never talk about it???:confused3
:cheer2::banana::banana::banana::banana::cheer2:

After reading LTT will now be B, L, and D character meals - that might be an option.

We liked O'hana and I think your dd and ds would like this, the parade with the characters was fun!

Akershus is a better deal than CRT ( I haven't done CRT - but planned on it for this year) I think we might do CRT for dinner :confused3, because I want to do Akershus breakfast and the princesses may have "different look" about them in Norway :lmao:. DD who will be 10 sunday may pick up on this ??

Also did yo think about 1900 Park Fare breakfast - Alice and the Mad hatter, plus sometimes Pooh and Friends, or Mary Poppins. I plan on this ADR as well.

I have nothing ironed out for ADRs and am stressed... what stressed me the most is picking CRT. Normally we ate breakfast at CP, SC lunch, BBB and then off to Norway or 1900 Park Fare. I don;t think we'll like CRT dinner, but as i said my concern is the princesses.
Too much to think about.... i think i need a good planning session when dd is not around

Glad I could remind you! I think that's why I'm always on here talking about it. DH has little interest and I can't talk to my kids about it so here I sit talking to all of you about it :lmao:

Mine are tucked in bed- still bouncing around on them but at least they can't see my computer screen from their bedrooms! I hope you get some planning time soon!

I looked at 1900 PF but DD doesn't quite know who Alice or Mary Poppins are yet. I would love it but I think the rest of my family wouldn't. I'd love to meet Mary Poppins- practically perfectly in every way! It was and still is one of my very favorite movies.

Okay I have decided my ADR's to try for (or at least I think I have until tomorrow when I change my mind a million times more. :rotfl: )

Drum roll please...
:rockband:

You might want to sit down for this...
:scared::scared::scared::scared::scared::scared:

princess: Breakfast at Akershus - DD will love meeting her *pincesses* DH and DS can suffer through it, at least they will have food to keep them occupied.

:stitch: Breakfast at Ohana's- both kids will like this one I think. DH is excited about the sweet rolls!

And the one that might make you fall over when you read it...:faint:

:fish: Coral Reef! :faint: I know I know what you're going to say. I'm not crazy. I've read the reviews.

How did I get to the choice of Coral Reef you are asking
Well it's my own dumb fault. :sad2: I complain that DH doesn't have much to say when planning and obviously I should have kept my big mouth shut and left it that way. I limited the choices down for his bday dinner and pulled about 6 restaurants up for him to look at the menus. He passed on ones I would have loved to have tried like Teppan Edo and Le Cellier :scared1: He didn't like any of them and I showed him the restaurant list for all of WDW. :headache: When all was said and done he picked Coral Reef :fish: I warned him that it has mixed reviews when it comes to the food but he really likes the big fish tank. :confused3

It's his birthday so I guess I'll just have to deal with it. It can't be that bad...can it??? Maybe I'll stash a cereal bar in my purse just in case. :rotfl:

Oh and NO I will NOT be asking for his input for the remainder of the planning phase. :sad2:

First - sorry I'm late to the 99 Day Dance!!

:dance3:party:party::rockband: :dance3:

Second - I have done the Ohana breakfast - OH SO YUMMY!! The characters were fun too! Stitch hugged my MIL!
We like the Norway Akerhus too - we had lunch there for Paige's third birthday (on her b-day) They were so nice, we got a cake for her, and all the princesses signed a birthday card and our server did too and wrote on it in Norwegian. Very cool. Food was decent too.

I bet you will like Coral Reef just fine. Stick with what they do well - seafood or fish and it will be good. That's what I've heard at least. Never been.

:fish: Coral Reef! :faint: I know I know what you're going to say. I'm not crazy. I've read the reviews.

The fish tank is amazing... and that is why we are going back. I had the mahi mahi and it was awful!!! My DM got the tuna and it was wonderful, DD got the salmon and it was good too! I think the texture of the mahi mahi and the chutney did not agree with me. I had to leave the restaurant and sit outside,

This trip I might stick with a non fish item
