Combo PTR & TR w/a side of Scrapbooking: I'm Back! TR link posted!

Congratulations on the deal, how wonderful!! :goodvibes:goodvibes I am hoping that my TA is up to speed and gets the deal applied to our reservation as well!! :thumbsup2

I'm in such a wonderful mood and making my To Do List and starting my planning :goodvibes

Until the deal was officially applied, we weren't set in stone that this trip was going to happen- I knew it was a GO but DH needed to know we were saving some moola before I had him convinced. :lmao:

Now I feel like I can let myself plan, plan, plan until my little heart is content.

I'm starting to look at the QSDDP and deciding if we want to go with that again this trip. They bumped the price up a couple dollars and I'm sorting through menus to compare what we would pay using the plan vs. paying OOP. I know I saw a spreadsheet floating around out there to help me with the math but can't seem to find it now! :headache:

You know I share your excitment. I don't know how I survived work... Now I am waiting for pak hours, my refresh button is going to get tired! :lmao:
I can't help with the spreadsheet, I design my own very basic sheets for our meals, I love the dining plan, I would not go without it. We have used the basic and the deluxe. This trip I chose the deluxe again, I have planned a few 2 credit TS meals so it should benefit us again this trip!
I enjoy the feeling of having the meals paid for whether TS or CS.

BTW - my trip is a surprise as well, I was going to wait until Christmas, which is going to be so hard, I'd love to wait until the day of.. 'wake up, we're going to disney!"

Park hours would be nice! :goodvibes I started making my own little organizer to figure out the dining plan vs. oop. DH wants to go OOP but I like the idea of having it paid for in advance. Plus I think we'll really save when it comes to DS- $9.99 for 2 QS meals and 2 snacks is definitely a money saver. Even if we break even on DH and I, we'll make up for it with DS. DD is the tricky one- too young to be on the plan but she eats.

Feel free to chat about your surprise with me. I'm already having a hard time keeping my lips sealed. Today was tough. I was sooooo excited and had to keep it under wraps around DS. I could never make it a surprise up to the day of leaving. I need to be able to pack out in the open. Too stressful trying to hide the suitcases and stuff. Come on Christmas :woohoo:!

I did a little shopping this weekend and found some more things to stash for Christmas and our trip! :goodvibes

For DD- These were BOGO Free!!!! I think one will be for Christmas and one will be a surprise during the trip. I need to go back and get DS the Buzz action figure yet.

and I found these at Target for her...

And these for DS...

And of course I treated myself since it's almost my birthday and it was on sale for $20!!!

In case you're wondering where I'm stashing all these wonderful surprises...

It's my mom's old hope chest that is in DD's room. I now call it my Disney Hope Chest! It stays closed and I threw a beach towel over it just in case. I started with a tub (c'mon Snowbirds you remember the tub don't you! :rolleyes1) but soon outgrew it and moved up to this! Now I'm worried this is getting full already.

Up next... My *Not to be missed* list for my favorite park MK!!!! with a few scrapbook pages thrown in!

Thanks for the birthday wishes! It was a good birthday- well as best as can be expected for turning 31 !

;) Just thought I'd bump you back up to the top!
Awww thanks for the bump. It's okay if no one reads it- it's keeping me organized! ;)

I FINALLY got my confirmation email showing the 4/3 on my ressie this morning!:thumbsup2

I had to call and ask for it and the very unpleasant CM :rolleyes1 was sure that it had been sent already and that it must have been in my spam box. My spam box was empty. :confused3 I don't think I'd want to be a CM this week- they must be getting tired.

Well I sat down and made myself a Planning TO DO list...

  • Make ADR for Le Cellier for DH's birthday dinner
  • Make ressies for Pirate’s League? Still not sure yet about this one.
  • Run the numbers for the QSDDP vs. OOP and print menus for QSDDP if we choose it
  • Plan Days at Parks
  • Go through my stash and finalize my shopping/packing list
  • Personalize stroller (after reading about stroller thefts on the rise at WDW  )
  • Make LGMH for backpack
  • Plan Christmas Surprise
  • Plan DH's birthday- Make Happy Birthday Banner, Cards from Kids, Invite to dinner at LeCellier, etc.
  • Pay trip off by Dec. 9th :scared1:
I think that's it! :upsidedow

I always have to call back and ask for my email confirmation even though the original CM said they would send it.

Looks like your plans are coming along quite nicely! :thumbsup2

On with the planning!

MK is the last park that I need to make my *not to be missed* list for so here goes...
MagicKingdom-002.jpg

Rope Drop- finally got to experience it for the first time last Jan. It's a must do again this trip- just don't tell DH yet. He didn't get what all the fuss was about. I really think he just didn't like getting up early. The kids and I loved being there so early- what other time of day can you play in bubbles on Main Street!

I'll have to continue this later- naptime just never seems long enough :confused3 Don't they know I only have 112 left to plan this trip :lmao:

MK rope drop is the essence of Disney for us. I love the song, the show, getting our pic taken in front of the circle EVERY trip. Just LOVE it!

Last trip was the first time we experienced it and I think it will be a *must do* for every trip from now on! :goodvibes

Have you ever taken the kids to the Barber shop on Main Street? We took Keaton there for his first haircut, so now I have to get both boys' haircut there each trip. They actually do a fantastic cut for pretty cheap ($14~cheap for Disney anyway) and it's just a really fun and magical experience. And they can get a gel mickey on their head, too or pixie/pirate dust. Andy always says he's going to get his haircut, too, but there are always so many people waiting, he feels bad for the kids waiting in line!

MK Rope Drop is really magical! Last trip I was there really early and had a prime viewing spot and it was just so wonderful!! :goodvibes But I love AK rope drop, too. It gets me so excited about "my adventure"! :cloud9:

When you guys are talking about MK rope drop, where are all the festivities happening? Last year we went in before park opening for a Crystal Palace breakfast, so I didn't see any show. When we came out, the park was just opening, the CMs were standing around waving and there were bubble machines in the hub. What else do I want to see and where should I be to see it?
TIA

DH and I went in there for our honeymoon just to have a funny pic taken but we didn't actually get our hair cut. The barbers were hilarious! DD just finally started growing hair when she turned 2 so it will probably be a while before she gets a trim. It's just now barely long enough to make teeny tiny pig tails

Had to dig em up....pics of pics so they aren't the best quality but you get the idea

I've never been to rope drop at AK but maybe I should put it on my list! What do they do at AK?

It happens right out front, they sing, the train brings the characters, a family gets to throw out the magic pixie dust to open the park...that description doesn't really make it sound all that fun but it is really magical!!!

I'm enjoying your PTR!! You have a lovely family!

I used to own a scrapbook store, so you sucked me right in with your beautiful pages. I love them, great job.

I have some pages that I've been wanting to post on my PTR!

The great thing about scrapbooking is even when the vacation is over :sad1:
