Combo PTR & TR w/a side of Scrapbooking: I'm Back! TR link posted!

Hey Friend! :goodvibes

Just wanted to pop in and say hello! Your renos look great! We are doing a bit as well! In the process of acquiring new windows! :scared1: HUGE money! My parents are helping us out though, thank goodness! :)

I am so thinking that we are going to be running into each other A LOT at WDW in January! Our overlapping days are nearly identical! We may even share some ADRs! :)

Love the scrappin' my friend! Keep up the good work! :thumbsup2

Howdy my Northern neighbor! Thanks for popping in!
New windows sound wonderful- they're on our home improvement list too...someday we'll get everything done on our wish list :rolleyes1 If I gave up all my Disney trips, we'd probably get to it all a little sooner but I'm not giving up my Disney for windows or new flooring

We're definitely going to have to set up a meet although I'm sure we'll bump into each other even if we don't! ;)

Yikes 9:05 :scared1: No way would my kids do well with a late ressie like that!
I'm hoping to get ressies for his actual bday. I prefer dinner but will take lunch or another day if that's all they have. I'll copy your plan and do Ohana's on his bday for breakfast if not.

Yeah... I don't think DH could have waited for a 9:05 ADR for Dinner. The earliest we could get for Ohana for Dinner was 8:20, but that gives us more flexibility anyways, because the Magic Kingdom has Extra Magic Hours that night, so we could eat, then head over for the last hour or so...
It's soo hard, because I don't like eating late, but I also don't want to cut into our touring time during the day too much, because hours are limited anyways.

At least it's an EMH night and you'll still have some park time!
DH and I ate later when it was just the 2 of us on our honeymoon. Once you throw 2 kids under the age of 5 in the mix, it's not as much fun staying up late! :headache:

Despite DD being sick yesterday, I had an exciting Disney day!!!!

This arrived FINALLY in the mail for me...

AND to make my night even better, DH talked Disney a little last night!!!! He flipped through the book reliving the trip... look at DD being silly here in this pic... look how happy DS was in that pic... commenting on how much he liked CBR... :cloud9: Deep down he's a Disney fan, whether he admits it or not. I think he'd be more open to Disney if it didn't cost so stinking much

Very cool photo book! :thumbsup2

My DH is the same way, I know deep down he loves Disney almost as much as I do, but he'd never admit it! :rotfl: He just likes to tell people - yep, she's making me go again! Yeah, I'm really twisting his arm! :lmao:

The book looks great, what a wonderful memory of your trip! I can understand that the cost of a Disney vacation takes away some of the magic for some people. I hope you will have even more great memories after the next trip to convert Jason into a real Disney-fan! :goodvibes

I just read your entire PTR/TR! :thumbsup2 Very good! Your family is so cute. :goodvibes I'm LOVING all of the scrapbooking stuff. I've always done them by hand. I wouldn't even know the first thing about making them digitally... If you have some free time, could you PM me some tips? I can't wait to read more! Oh--and I'm sure they'll post some kind of discount :thumbsup2

I think he's more excited about this trip than he was over the last two since my parents and sister aren't going too:rolleyes1 We've not taken a vacation with just the 4 of us in YEARS. We've gone to the Outer Banks with his family and Disney with mine. It's always been with other people, which can be fun but can also be overwhelming at times.
In fact- I think I'm looking more forward to this one too! Shhh Don't tell my mom or sister

Thanks :goodvibes It took 6 months to make but is such a treasured memory! And don't worry, I'm wearing him down...he'll be a Disney fan at some point! :thumbsup2

:welcome: Thanks for popping in! As far as tips go, I'm not sure I have too many. I use the Polaroid My Memories software which helps lots since it's so easy to use. I've also heard great things about Creative Memories. I like the Polariod one though because you are free to add "outsider" stuff instead of being limited to just their stuff. CM is very exclusive and you can only use CM kits.
I tried Photoshop but it was WAY over my head! Once you get the hang of the software, it's really just the same as regular scrapping. You can be just as creative. Sometimes I miss being hands on with traditional scrapping but I just didn't have the room, time, or money for regular anymore. Plus I can undo anything I mess up with the click of a button and reuse all of my supplies over and over. Very cost effective once you get past the initial cost of the software.:thumbsup2

Loved all your scrapbooking pages. Thought they were a wonderful addition to the storytelling of your TR. Just getting into digital scrapping myself so I love looking at all the layouts. Thank you for sharing!

:thanks: for stopping by! I never knew how addictive digital could be until I got started!

4 MONTHS FROM TODAY I'LL BE AT DISNEY!!!!!!
:banana::woohoo:party::jumping1::hyper::cheer2:

Yup Just 4 more months...popcorn:::bored: How can I make time go faster?

I guess I'll just have to keep planning and obsessing until the big day arrives!

One of DS's friends had a Pirate themed birthday party a couple weeks ago. It was lots of fun and at the end the kids were given a little pirate treasure box with goodies in it. Ever since that party both my kids have been pretending to be pirates day and night...
DSCN1823.jpg

They've been watching Peter Pan, pretending to be Hook, hiding treasure, drawing maps, and yelling Arrrgh Matey 24/7!

So I've been pondering whether or not to sign the kids up for

FamilyatDisneyPirateLeague-resized-.png

Pirate's League!!!!

My only concern (besides the $100 I'll have to shell out for it :rolleyes1 ) is that I'm not sure if they'll let DD do it. She'll be a month shy of 3 when we go and it says 3 and up. She's sometimes braver than her big brother so I'm not worried about her being scared or anything. She's much more this pirate: than princess: !

Anyone experienced it yet? Is it worth the $$$? Of course we would be getting the $50 package if so. Certainly not the one for $125 :scared1: Any thoughts?

OMG~he is too cute!!! I ordered Keaton the Pirate costume from Old Navy and it came in Friday night. It is absolutely adorable! I need to get him an eye patch like that!

Love your photobook its beautiful as is your family.
What an awesome Christmas gift for the kids- a trip to Disney. If you are ever looking to adopt a twenty something from Boston- let me know:lmao:

How cute! pirate: Have you thought about the pirate cruise at CBR for your DS? It's a lot of fun!

What!? He doesn't like traveling with the in-laws?
Logan has had about enough of my family for a little while. I think the Disney trip put him over the edge. One of the reasons he's looking forward and agreed to another trip this year is because it will just be us. He's terrified that my Mom is going to invite herself on this trip. I don't think she would, but he does.
I just don't think they realize that sometimes it's nice to have family alone time. It helps that we don't have any kids yet, but when we do it's going to be a huge problem.

I love the book, maybe I should start with digital scrapbooking, since it's less messy...

I looked up that costume and it's adorable! Keaton is going to be so handsome for Halloween!

If I do sign them up for the Pirate's League, I thought about getting pirate costumes and taking them with us but I don't know that they would like to wear a whole costume all day. I may get them a pirate t shirt or something to wear that day. Maybe surprise them with an invite and the tshirts that morning pirate:

I asked my mom why Santa never brought me a trip to Disney for Christmas and she just rolled her eyes at me. I could adopt you as my sister- I'm not THAT old yet to be your mom! Although I will be 31 in a few days :scared1: Oh the horror!

Why no I haven't! I will now though! ;)

It's hard balancing family with hubby and even harder when you have kids. I've learned to just put my foot down sometimes. My parents invite themselves to things ALL the time. I don't want to hurt feeling but sometimes it has to be done for my sanity and relationship with my DH. :sad2:
This Jan is the perfect time for us to sneak in a trip by ourselves. My sister's family is going skiing this winter and my parents are using their vacation budget on a cruise in a couple weeks. My mom even said that if Disney doesn't release any discounts for Jan 2010 that we can just wait and ALL go again together next year. Please Disney give me SOMETHING to work with so I can avoid that argument!!!!! :wizard:

I'm OFFICIALLY calling this planning lull OVER!!!!!!

I called this morning and had the 4/3 deal applied to my ressie!!!! Our trip is official now!!!!! I saved $542 !!!!!!!! I added the QSDDP and still am $24 less than what I would have spent rack rate just for the MYW package without any dining.

Thank heavens for the 4/3 !!!!!!!!! I haven't been this excited since last Nov. 6th when I was doing my 4/3 dance last year! I'm so glad I didn't have to wait until Nov this time around.

Time to get my binder back out and get that puppy filled with my wonderful Disney plans!!!

Congratulations on the deal!!! :cheer2: I'm glad you didn't have to wait until November again. That was excruciating last year!!
