Combo PTR & TR w/a side of Scrapbooking: I'm Back! TR link posted!

They have one called Magical Memories http://www.mymemoriessuite.com/store/display_product_page?id=AW-DTO-0905-0272 but it's not licensed or as nice as the Creative Memories templates:sad2:. I thought of getting the CM one but can't justify spending the money when I have this program already.

I also should take a minute to give credit where credit is due...much of what I've been using has come from the Scrapbook Forum. A huge thank you to all the creative people on there sharing their talents and creativity nad thanks for posting links to all those Disneyish designs!

I just saw your PTR on the January Code Watch thread and was very excited to find the first PTR for someone who will be there around the same time as us! :goodvibes

I am impressed by your digital scrapbooking! Perhaps I need to check that out... I guess it's not less work than the old fashioned way?

Hey Kim :goodvibes Great update! :thumbsup2 Love the pics of the kids on the slides! I stayed at CBR once as a teenager and loved it! We only stayed there for 5 days though and I don't remember it very much! I would love to stay there again! It looks and sounds like a lot of fun! I think my kids would love it! :)

I'm listening to Illuminations on DISRadio and am getting inspired to scrapbook my pics from Illuminations :goodvibes My eyes are welling up just listening to it- it's an absolute favorite in my book! I'm treating myself to the CD of this and Wishes on our next trip.

Yeah another January Snowbird! What are your dates?

Digital feels like less work to me. I'm in heaven having an undo button:rotfl2:. Plus there's no mess to clean up when you're done. :thumbsup2

Sounds like you need to get your tushy back to CBR so you can remember it! Your kids would love it- the new pirate pool was sooo much fun- chilly but fun!

Monny2AE - Count me in for this PTR! I love hearing about trips with little ones involved! I am hoping to take my DD for her second trip and DS for his first trip next year. I am hoping to learn some tips on taking 2 kids to WDW!
I am also a computer dork so I think i would like to try digital scrapbooking!

We will be there from Jan 27 to Feb 5 and will celebrate my sister's birthday at WDW. :goodvibes

Perhaps I really should check out the digital scrapbooking, I just hope that there is some affordable software for the Mac...

Thanks for popping in! My best tip for taking 2 kids is to remember to take it easy and allow time for rest if they need it :thumbsup2
Love your scrapbook pages and looking forward to reading more!
Thanks! :goodvibes

Yay for celebrating your sister's birthday at Disney!!! You arrive on my dh's birthday! It's so much fun to celebrate a birthday in Disney- just wish we were celebrating mine instead of his :rolleyes1
Hmmm don't know about a Mac program but I'm sure there has to be one out there!

My name is Kim and I'm an obsessive planner. I'm sure there's a support group for people like me. I'm just under 6 months now and I dug out my packing list from our last trip and I've already started packing:scared:. I know I'm not the only one so don't roll your eyes at me like that!

And of course packing means you have to shop too. :rolleyes1

Last month I hit the Disney Store outlets in Lancaster PA and cleaned up getting stuff for the kids for Christmas and our trip. Oh and I should mention I got all of this for $96 !!! (Plus 6 more pairs of PJ's that I didn't take pics of because they're not saved for Disney- they just needed pj's) :cool1: I love me some outlet shopping! ;)

Sorry for the massive pic sizes- Photobucket is NOT my friend today! I resized them but only some worked???

My Plan is to buy things BEFORE we get to Disney so while we're there the kids won't be begging for every souvenir they see.
Last trip they came home with these adorable souvies...they've been added to my packing list!

I got the POTC shirt from the outlet for $2.99!!!! DS isn't a POTC fan- a little young for the movie but he loves him some pirate:. He's more at the Captain Hook level at this point though.

Thanks for being my one and only follower Kim! All these lurkers and no posting- I'm not feeling the love. :sad2:

Alright I keep jotting down stuff I want to remember and bookmarking stuff on the computer- I think it's high time I get all my Disney info in one place. So I'm making a binder. First stop was over to the Creative DISigns forum. I found some really cute binder section titles from Kellybell and well here's what I have so far.

I've also asked Kellybell if she could make me one for CBR resort and Packing and Christmas. Since this trip is a surprise for my kids I need a section to get myself organized for the big moment!
That was the easy part. Now to stuff it full with my plans for the trip!!!

A little off topic but we went to the beach for a weekend and I scrapbooked the pics from it.

When we told my kids that we were going to be taking a trip, DS got soooo excited and said "We're going back to Disney???" Afraid not little man. Just a quick weekend at the beach. He was still excited to be going somewhere but poor DH just had to roll his eyes over it. I've got my baby trained that a vacation isn't a vacation unless it's to Disney!

I keep telling him that Disney costs LOTS of money and it will probably be a long time before we can go again in hopes to throw him off a little and that the surprise at Christmas will be a good one.

DD was not a fan of the water and spent the day building sandcastles...

DS was my little fish, couldn't keep him out of the waves...

Great posts Kim! :thumbsup2 I LOVE that Binder! :cool1: Good work! I think that once we get ourselves decided I will get down to the business of organizing! I just love organizing, it makes me feel soo, oh I don't know.....Organized! :rotfl2: Love those pages from the beach too! So adorable! princess: pirate: Your children are soo cute! :)

Whew...I'm back! Finally got to actually sit and read (and look at all the pix)! Your family is ADORABLE!! And I'm pretty sure we could've been sisters in the 80's. I had the same perm and glasses AND braces...H*O*T!!! I thought I was an obsessive planner until I saw your notebook dividers. THOSE ARE AWESOME! You are officially my planning-idol!:worship:

Well I finally have something to put into my adorable little binder!!!!!
Disney sent me an email with my ressie and the new firm 2010 rates. :cool1:

You poor thing but at least we all survived those rockin' 80's styles! I can't take credit for the dividers- Kellybell on the Creative DISigns forum made them- she now has started dabbling in Digital Scrapbooking!!!! :cool1::banana: Her Quick Pages are AMAZING!!!!!! Can't wait to use them for the pics from our next trip!

OK, I am sitting here laughing my hinny off. Why? Because I have a Disney 2010 vacation binder which includes the following:

Reservation email from Disney
To do list
Packing list
Map quest directions (not that I need it. just follow the interstate. Hello!)
Orlando stroller rental information and confirmation
Print out of the week days that are historically the busiest at each park
List of restaurants on the dining plan
Menu for each restaurant that may be a possibility as well as CBR food court
Information on the Pirates League
Information on the CBR Pirate Treasure Cruise
Disney images to be laminated for window decorations
Preliminary schedule for each day
And finally all my information from my 2009 vacation

I have also started shopping for the boys and have started packing. Since we drive I pack most of our stuff in two large Rubbermaid containers.

:lmao:Welcome to the OCDisney Club! And thanks for giving me some ideas of what to stuff my binder with. We drive too so we don't have to worry about suitcase sizes. I may do tubs this time too. We packed a tub of snacks and food but I may even use them for our clothes. It may be easier to fit more.:confused3

Last year I packed the boys clothes in the big tub. I packed a pair of shorts, shirt, socks, and underwear in a gallon size zip lock bag and labled them with their names. I had one for each boy, each day that we were at Disney. That way in the morning all I had to do was grab a bag labled with their name and dress them. No looking for shirts, socks, etc. Plus it was easier for my mother in law because she didn't have to try to figure out who's clothes were who's.

As you know, January is hard to pack for because you never know if its going to be hot or cold. I went to walmart and got a few plain long sleeve shirts and a pair of wind pants for each boy. In the mornings I would dress them with their t-shirts over a long sleeve shirt and then the wind pants over their shorts. Once it started to warm up, I took off the long sleeve shirts and pants and it was perfect.
