Combo PTR & TR w/a side of Scrapbooking: I'm Back! TR link posted!

Love the DHS pics! :goodvibes My favorite park! :lovestruc

Can't wait to get there again. Looks like your family had a great day there!

Thanks Shelly! We actually spent day(S) there instead of just one...but that's all in my next update! Spending so much time at DHS was the reason we missed out on so much at Epcot. I'll be planning a little better this time and alotting more time at DHS. Lesson learned! ;)

You have a great TR. I am loving the scrapbooking. I looooove to scrap, I have last years album done now to start on this one. 4 trips this year whew I have a lot to scrap.

Kim,
Hi I'm new to DIS so I can't post photos, so I'll just tell you what my son had on and what he did the 2 times he was chosen for Jedi training. The 1st time was 12/07- he wore red track pants, white Power Ranger top and we had heard you need to jump up and down so he did. He got picked on our 2nd try that day. The next time we sat a waited at least 20 minutes until the show he made sure he was up front on that line. He had on a red Phillies hat, navy Jedi training shirt and gray shorts(10/08). He's had red on each time, I did read you should have your kids wear yellow(I'm going to put him in his yellow Star Wars shirt this Oct. and see), and I do know they tend to pick the kids up front who are very animated, jumping up and down and reaching high with their arms in hopes to be chosen.. Hope that helps.
I love your scrapbook pages, I don't do anything digital, all by hand. Hopefully when I can post photos I can add some of the pages I've done from my trips.

And we waited in line FOREVER to meet Buzz and Woody- I’m hoping we can get away with not having to do that again! :rolleyes1 We’ll see…

We saw lots and really enjoyed DHS. The only things we missed out on were…
1. Indiana Jones Stunt Show- It’s one of DH's favorites so we HAVE to squeeze it in this time around!
2. Fantasmic- It was pouring down rain the night we were supposed to see it and we chose not to go.

3. And last but certainly not least on my “Not to be Missed” list is this:

DS is a huge Star Wars fan- although he’s never seen a Star Wars movie (he’s 5 and In my opinion a little young for it) but he loves to play the Lego Star Wars game with my nephew. So we visited the Jedi
Training Academy 3 times- yes THREE TIMES- trying to get him into the show. The first two times he wasn’t picked, eventhough he jumped and yelled as loudly as he could. The third time was our last day and the show was canceled due to rain. :headache:
DS left in tears and just couldn’t understand why he wasn’t picked. I was just as crushed as he was but just explained that sometimes we don't always get a turn...blah, blah, blah. So this time around I am dressing him in his Lego Star Wars t-shirt and getting him in that show if it’s the last thing I do! I will NOT drive home 16 hours with a broken-hearted little boy again! :sad2:

Perhaps I'll dress him in red AND yellow just to have all the bases covered! Let me know if yellow works in October. :thumbsup2

Great pictures!

My boys were wearing black Star Wars shirts and blue jeans when they got chosen for JTA in January. No yellow or red. :confused3 It took us 3 tries and we did notice that they tended to pick kids clear on the left side down by then end. So that's where we stood the 3rd time and voila!! :darth:

I'm glad to hear it takes so many tries- well not really- but it helps me know next time to expect to be there a few times. I guess I'll just plan our whole day around the Jedi show schedule!

YAY!!!:dance3:I won't be too loud as to wake the kids, but I'll have a drink with ya! I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise!

Thanks for joining me Jenny! Your ticker is just about the same so you've got a reason to party too!

I need some pixie dust and prayers...if I don't sell a house or two, our trip isn't happening! I need to start busting my butt to get some M*O*N*E*Y!!! :wizard: Magic Wand anyone?? ;)

If I had a magic wand I'd definitely share it with you :wizard: I'll keep praying you can sell those houses. My sister had to end up renting the 2 houses they renovated until the economy brightens. Hang in there!

I hear ya. My husband is currently laid off (he's the only one of us that works..I stay home with kiddos) and we still have $2000 to pay on our vacation fund. Oh, and we leave in 30 days:scared1:

Well, I'm frustrated and wishing that Disney would release some park hours and show times for my dates. I'm starting to plan our days- which actually won't take me long since we are going to be a little more relaxed this time around.

DH is not a fan of ADR's and having to stop the fun to be somewhere at a certain time every day. So I'll be making an ADR for his bday dinner and possibly one for a breakfast, but that's about it for ADR's.

I really just need to know what nights Fantasmic will be showing because I don't want to miss it this time and I really need to decide the couple of ADR's that I'll need to make.

Here's what I have so far...although it's not much yet:rolleyes1

Fri Jan 22- Start the loooong car trip to FL around 4am (or earlier if I can convince DH), Stop overnight on the way

Sat Jan 23- Finish the drive and check in at CBR in the morning, Head to MK- we always head to MK first thing since you're not really at Disney until you walk down Main Street and see that beautiful castle! :cloud9:

Sun Jan 24- Waiting for the crowd level list to decide which park

Mon Jan 25- Waiting for the crowd level list to decide which park

Tues Jan 26- Waiting for the crowd level list to decide which park

Wed Jan 27- DH's Birthday- I'm letting him pick the park we visit this day! I still need to decide a restaurant for his BDay dinner:confused:

Thurs Jan 28- Waiting for the crowd level list to decide which park

Fri Jan 29- Waiting for the crowd level list to decide which park for the day, MK at night for Wishes to end our trip!

Sat Jan 30- The sad, sad day we have to check out and head home:sad2:

Like I said...not much yet but I felt like I needed to get a start!

Any suggestions for a BDay Dinner ADR and a Breakfast ADR are welcome!!! We've done Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's for breakfast and liked them but I'm thinking we may like to try something new this time around!
