Combined Disney and Universal for 8 days - one hotel, or move?

I have done this trip a variety if ways.... my fave is stay 2 nites onsite at Universal(using EP)-then move over to onsite at Disney for the next 6 nites or so.... SO I would recommend the cheapest Uni hotel you can get with privileges,then move over to AK at your excellent rate..... this works for us b/c no mater how old my kids get,they enjoy Universal but they love Disney onsite.

I'm wondering this too, but I think we've made up our mind. We want to just stay at Disney POR the whole trip. We will get some sort of transportation to Universal and just do one day in both parks. We will just do and experience what we can for the one day, thinking of a Tues or Wed so hopefully it won't be so busy in Oct. I'm sure we'll wish we planned for more and those express tickets sound awesome, but this trip is already getting expensive.
