Combine points nights with cash night?

I have a for night stay planned with the 1st, 2nd, and 4th nights as point stays and the 3rd night booked cash *through DVC MS*. I have that one night waitlisted so if it out pulls then I know it's easy to combine into one reservation, but I'm trying to contingency plan if waitlist does not pull.

Because the cash night was booked through DVC directly and not through the main hotel website, are my reservations able to be combined into one reservation? All the same resort, category, and guests.

I understand there's an option to mark continuous stay on each reservation for room assigner, but it's a stress I'd prefer to avoid.

When you get it via MS it might be able to be combined but honestly I am not sure because the one time I had it, the waitlist filled!

If for some reason you cannot get them combined, talk with the front desk before checkout day for the first segment. They don't want to pay to clean your unit, so as long as you are in the same room type you should be fine. (And as I understand it, they can override room assignments---or at least they could once upon a time.) It only takes a few minutes.
