Combinable discounts

Does anyone know if you can combine discounts? For example, if we book a military discount and free dining comes out?

Also, to get free dining, you have to have a package including park tickets. Is that right?

No you can't combine is either one or the other. And yes you need tickets for the Free dining package. You can change discounts if there are rooms available. So if you book military and then free dining comes out you can change it.

Thanks Ellie05. As I was typing my question, I knew I couldn't do it, because the military is a room only.

I'm am looking at maybe doing a split stay to get the dates that I want, and thinking about doing a room only with mili discount and then doing the free dining. Does that sound like too much hassle to change rooms mid-week?

We would most likely do a value the first 4 days and then go to a mod or deluxe for the remainder so we could get the regular dining plan instead of counter service only.

You can add the dining plan to a room with a military discount without tickets, but you can't get Free Dining without buying tickets. You can't stack discounts.

If you do the scenario you're considering, you should check the cost carefully. Free Dining requires a minimum of 2-day base tickets for everyone participating, and you can only pick up package tickets up to 3 days in advance.
Depending on your savings with Free Dining, it might still make sense to buy the 4 day AFS tickets for your first few days, and get the package tickets with Free Dining, but maybe not. It depends on how much park time you want to plan.
