Columbus Day Weekend - which is worse? Saturday or Sunday?

I am visiting Disneyland this coming weekend, and plan to enter either on Saturday or Sunday.

I noticed that Saturday is blocked off for holders of the Southern California Select Annual Passport and Southern California Annual Passport, and Sunday is blocked off for holders of the Southern California Select Annual Passport. As a large number of visitors to Disneyland are from Southern California, will this make any difference on which day is better or worse? Or will it just be bad no matter what, given that it's Columbus Day Weekend?

Well Sunday is also the CHOC Walk, so you're looking at both days being really busy! The 60th, Halloweentime, CHOC Walk, Columbus Day...all make for a very busy time!!

Based on my experience last year and several other years during the same weekend, Sunday will be worse because of CHOC walk. Also a lot of people don't think Monday is going to be that busy since it isn't a major holiday but it is crazy busy. That was our last day last year and all the lines for the big rides were 45min plus.

Last year I went on Sunday and it was packed, even in the evening. Monday was very busy too, but Sunday was worse.

In our experience from the past, the first half of Monday is crazy but then people have to go catch their flights or get in their cars. So when you've started a trip on Sunday, by the second half of Monday it's getting better.

Sat and Sun...I'm not sure I've experienced a CHOC weekend, but on a normal Col Day weekend it has peaked on Sunday.

Agree with the above posters. All 3 days of the holiday weekend will be busy, but Sunday will be very busy because of the CHOC Walk.
