Are any of the days of the weekend likely to have lower crowd levels than the other days?

Our schedule makes it likely that DD's one and only day in IOA and USF with her BF is going to have to be over the weekend 11, 12 or 13 October - they are not staying onsite, either, so won't have front-of-line access :(

There's no HHN on the Monday night, so I was thinking that might be less crowded - am I being hopelessly optimistic LOL?

um, that's columbus day and people off work, do hit the park.

i have gone the columbus day weekend since 2003, and again this year.
so you want to know if fri, sat, sun are good days?

studios side closes at 5 and ioa closes at 6.
the crowds start in at the studio side around 3ish on those days.
many that are coming in then do rides and eat prior to hhn.

the last 3 years in the park on monday columbus day was not bad until noon time. it was tough last year once it was 1:00.
i stay on site and did not have long waits due to fotl but the lines for the RR and cs were a bit much for me. too many people at the same place i was at the same time..........and i'm not talking about lines for rides.

of course, how it was in years past does NOT mean the same for this year for that monday.

each year HHN grows in numbers of fans.
with that more in the park prior to the closing of it in order to go to the Stay & Scream area to wait for the evening event.

i would have said sunday was a good choice but last year on that sunday before columbus day, it was crowded from the afternoon on. it surprised me. but then, that doesn't mean it will happen again this year.

i'm not much help

LOL! Not true. I know more from reading your post than I knew before ;)

DD's choices are the Saturday, Sunday or Monday, and I was wondering if Monday might be quieter because of having no HHN that night. From what you've said, that still sounds as though it may hold true?
