Had 6 hours available in Orlando on Columbus Day, so of course I had to go to the world!
Since it was Columbus day, I figured the Parks would be a nightmare, so I decided to check out Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.
It rained the entire afternoon, so there was virtually no one at either water park. This was the first time I had been to either, and I thought both were great. BB seems to be more thrill ride-ish, TL a little more tame. We have a 6 year old daughter, so looking through her eyes, she'd be able to do a little more at TL I think. The wave pool is fantastic! So is the shark tank - very cool.
BB was great for me - the Summit Plummet is great, as are a lot of the slides. I went on the lazy river that circles the park - I bet it would take an hour to just float the whole thing!
I dried up and went the the World of Disney, and also the new Wags and Tails store at Downtown Disney. Then I went to check out the WL and then the Contemporary. I took the monorail around, and walked from the MK back to the Contemporary.
I'll be interested to hear how the crowds were at the MK and other parks. When I was on the monorail, the MK parking lot didn't look too full. A few people told me it was mobbed over the weekend.
Always a great time - can't wait to get back with the fam!
