Would anyone know when Florida schools get out of school besides Monday, Oct 13th? I heard that this was a busy time to come. We booked Fairytale for Oct 5-12 and now I read something about Columbus day being very busy that makes me want to switch to another date. Help!

Thanks,
Leslie:confused: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I'm thinking about booking October 7-14 so I'd like to know the answer to this too!

I'll be joining you too. Oct 5-12, I hates crowds, but I can't change my dates 'cuz the flights are booked.

I'm going Oct. 11-18th. Hope this is not TOO crazy of a time. This has been booked since January. First time with kids and really, really don't want it to be very crowded.

Let's keep our fingers crossed.

TTFN,
Maria

We went that time period last year and have planned another trip this year for the same time. we didn't seem to have a problem with the crowds. Not like you would have at other times.

Megan's Mom,

When you went last year it may have been the same time in October, but did Columbus Day fall during that time period? I read on Disney Dollarless that Columbus Day was very busy and that Florida kids get out several days that week. Florida Residents, we need some help with this! Thank You!

Leslie

Yes we were at the MK on Columbus Day. The only day that week that the parks were crowded was for the MNSSHP. They had more people in the park that night than they had any day that week and that came from a CM.

day as Columbus day this year. (Usually it's a week a part)
So I know alot of Canadians will be going down at that time too. Not that I'll make a huge surge in attendance, but it a great time for CDN to travel. (just like your own Thanksgiving- "most traveled day in the U.S")

In Alachua County - Gainesville, FL we have school as usual on October 13. Not a holiday here. :(

We were there last Columbus Day and the waiting time in most of the popular rides were 45 mins. I have been in July and have seen 2 hr lines. I thought the crowds were very managable. I also read how crowded this time can be but I didn't think it was that bad.

We went over Columbus Day weekend because our schools have a 5 day weekend with parent teacher conferences the Thursday-Friday before.

Thursday and Friday were pretty quiet, went to MNSSHP on Friday night and it was busier than anticipated.

Saturday through Sunday were moderately busy. Monday through Wednesday were the busiest we saw, but most rides still did not have long lines. We used our fast passes and didn't really wait very long except for Dumbo:p . Always a long line there.

It was extraordinarily warm last year (in the 90's), so be prepared for anything.

Would do it again over those dates, but this year we are doing the Disney Cruise over Veterans Day!!!!!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Have a great time. You'll love it.
