Columbia Harbor House

We have never eaten at Columbia Harbor House in MK before - would love opinions on the food? I see that they have a fried shrimp basket on the menu - any good?

We have eaten at Pecos Bill's and Cosmic Rays, but are looking for a new QS restaurant to try.

Ever since they added the shrimp plate I get this. It has about 8 large shrimp with fries and very good cole slaw. If they ever do a fish/shrimp combo, I'll be over the top.

The tuna salad sandwich is wonderful too. If you try it, eat upstairs if it's open. It's always nice and quiet up there.

This is my favorite CS at MK. DD had the fried shrimp a few weeks ago and there were 10 of them on there (so she shared with mom!) I just ordered the clam chowder and it was excellent and very filling (I'd have been fine without the bonus shrimp!)

We used to love Cosmic Rays but after 2 bad portions of horrible fatty ribs, we needed a change. Columbia Harbour House is a must-do for us now - we think it's a great place to have dinner over a TS at MK. Totally agree with Planogirl about eating upstairs too. Nice and quiet.

I ate there on our last trip and had the tuna sandwich and the clam chowder. Honestly, I wasn't terribly impressed. The food was very bland and the place was crazy crowded, and this was during the slow season. I'm not sure what everyone raves about.

The food wasn't bad, just not any better than anywhere else I've eaten in the MK.

Love the shrimp basket! DH likes the BLT salad, he's not one for seafood. The apple crisp dessert is pretty good as well. We always look forward to lunch at CHH...make sure to take your tray upstairs, it's quieter and not as crowded as downstairs.

We really enjoy CHH. I love the tuna sandwich, it is fresh and a nice change from the usual CS food. DH looks forward to the clam chowder, but misses the half sandwich soup combo they had in the past.

Love CHH. Eating upstairs is the best - they havel the condiment bar and there are restrooms as well. Usually not as crowded up there either. We love the apple crisp dessert too. We try to get a window view.

We passed this place by for years! We took the Keys of the Kingdom tour a few years ago and they took us there for lunch. It was really good for CS. We have been back many times since. I love the tuna sandwich and my dh always orders the BLT Salad.

Another for the Tuna and DH loves their Fish and chicken basket. It was hard getting him to sway from Cosmic Rays but now CHH has become a must do at MK.

The hummus sandwich is surprisingly very very good, and I have gotten the shrimp basket the last two times there. This is my favorite place to eat in the MK. I was not impressed with the desserts, but the entrees are very good. Eating outside is nice during the nice weather season, but if it is too hot/rainy/windy/etc., definitely go upstairs.

CHH is my and my dh's favorite place to eat in the MK.
I love the BLT salad and DH likes the clam chowder. I agree with everyone to eat upstairs- much quieter and if you get a window seat it's a nice place to people watch.

Ok, you're now my Sister From Another Mister.

It seems that whenever I'm at the Magic Kingdom and want a quick service meal, I gravitate towards Columbia Harbor House. I'm always getting the tuna sandwich and bringing it upstairs to eat.

I am not that crazy about the clam chowder. I'm not from New England, but I think people from there would probably be disappointed in it. And I am a "soup person".

Another thumbs up for CHH! We eat there twice (at least) every trip. Lots of different choices (BLT salad, tuna sandwich, hummus & broccoli slaw sandwich, etc) and every one was delicious. I think I've had everything on their menu & I have zero complaints. They serve the best tuna sandwich I've ever eaten!

I've heard that the shrimp platter is really good. I plan on trying it when I go.

Probably best CS in MK other than Cosmic Ray's. It's something different, and it's really good. We had shrimp, tuna sandwiches, and fish and chips and everything was really good! They constantly were checking the temps of the oils to make sure things were good, and were cleaning constantly. Would recommend!!

I am sorry you didn't like it. We love this place and judging by the boards a lot of other people do to. We always get a seat upstairs and have never found it busy.
