Color of bridesmaid dresses????

DD is getting married to a marine, who will be the only one in dress blues (top coat is black/pants are medium blue-all with red trim). The other ushers will be in black tuxes. DD thinks bridesmaid dresses should be red or blue, therefore flowers red or blue. I, MOB, say she could use another color, maybe a rose pink, or light blue. Any opinions or has anyone else married a marine and not used red or blue?

I would think you might want to avoid blue, since you want that groom to stand out. That uniform is stunning! I think red would be a nice contrast, while matching teh piping in the uniform.

I think if she isnt into red, any color that compliments blue will work, like pink or whatever. I would just avoid anything that would make that stunning uniform blend in, you want them to stand out!

I've seen pics of weddings with the dress blues I think(or maybe FOB)????? Am I correct ladies?

definately gold or champagne... I wouldn't do red or blue to Match... Red flowers to bring everything together would be nice, but I don't think I'd do pink flowers.

I would do champagne dresses and ties for the bridal party and red/scarlet/burgundy flowers.
