Color ideas for Tie Dye shirts - Halloween?

We're going to be at WDW for Halloween this year and I'm going to make me, DH, and our boys some tie-dye shirts.

I want to make the Mickey Head either orange or black (probably orange would be easiest??) and then I wasn't sure what other colors to use?

I looked in the Tie Dye Instructions thread and saw some beautiful ones that used purple, but I wanted to try to stay away from purple since I have boys

Any other ideas besides just orange and black??

How about orange, green, and a dark purple? (I understand that black is very hard to work with.) Orange, green, and yellow would work, too!

or,after you do the Mickey head and protect it from the other dye, splatter red dye over the entire shirt before you spiral it? Or you can go with yellow. Just don't use alot of it.
