So are the pictures of the North Wing
rooms outdated and the colors have been
updated to the Tower rooms colors.

Or are the North Wing decor colors of the room
still the white tones and not the colorful
whymsical decor of the tower rooms ?

Thanks :sunny:

Both of our visits to the Contemporary (6/00 and 12/01) we were in the North Garden Wing, first floor. The rooms were VERY colorful - almost wild. It would not be my choice for a decorating scheme in my house, but it was nice in the hotel. We LOVE the Contemporary, and prefer the North Garden Wing, on the first floor where there is a small patio, and sometimes a family of ducks that visits for breakfast.

We were just at the CR in 3/03 and stayed in the N Garden Wing- (With SoG)-----the rooms were VERY colorful- blue and yellow walls, crazy carpeting, colorful bedspreads...the bathroom was black and white- black and white marbled shower and black tiled floor, with a cool iridescent shower curtain. We thought it was wild and fun. :p

We enjoy the decor of the NGW; but the first time we stayed there, I kept on thinking that the orange wiggly stripe in the carpet was an extension cord! LOL

You took the words out of my mouth MLAinVA!! I just was lucky enough to have my national sales meeting at CR in February. We were spread out over all areas and room views, but all seemed to be decorated the same. I lucked out with a tower room bay view on the 5th floor and the view was great but the decor was way too over the top for me. I found the headboard "jarring" when I woke in the middle of the night--it's so loud. My roomie and I "stepped over" the orange stripe in the carpet all week, subconciously thinking it was an electrical cord. Co-workers in both wings also had the same decor, as the bright striped headboard was quite a topic of conversation, especially for those who had never been to WDW (there are a few folks left...).

I guess kids might like the decor.Anyway, for the $224/night we paid convention rate it was a great view, but I now know I'd NEVER spend MY money on CR. The bus service is also very inconvenient, stopping at Poly and GF. It took over 40 minutes to DD with the stops. The second night we took a cab. WIth a rental car things could have been different, but the conveniece of walking to MK doesn't outweigh the time it takes to get everywhere else.

I know that's way more than you asked for, but I never got around to posting about that trip. The electrical cord rug thing forced me to post!
