Hi, I have a question in regards to food. Can I pack a picnic lunch? Do they have a picnic area? Will there be somewhere we can stop and eat it. I'm also wondering about the waterpark that is in the area. Can you bring food here? Trying to keep the cost down on our trip. There will be eight of us so any savings will be helpful.

You can absolutely pack a picnic lunch for CW. It is basically an open city street area. It is not a "closed" tourist attraction. You will see college students around, people jogggin and walking their dogs and just going about their lives. There is not a lot of picnic tables to sit at (can't think of any off hand) but near the center of the main CW street is a large open grassy area where you can put down a blanket and eat. If you do some more looking around the area you can actually find some great cheap places to eat off of the main streets closest to William and Mary College--the places the college kids go.

I am not sure about Water Country--have you taken a look at their website to see what it says about outside food? I know with Busch you have reentry privliges so at the least you may be able to leave a cooler in your car and go out of the park to eat and then come back in. See what WC's reentry policy is.

Thanks so much for your answer I did look on the website and it was a big help. Don't know why I didn't think of that myself. LOL This is what it said: Picnic Areas
Picnic Areas are located in the picnic pavilion located near the front entrance. Picnics and coolers may not be taken in the park. (Exception: Baby food and medicine are permitted, but not in glass containers.)

This is great news I can bring lunch. Busch Gardens has a deal where you can pre-buy 2 meals and 4 drinks for $20 a person. I'm thinking of doing this, Does anyone know how much a burger & fries usually runs in the park? Thanks again for your help.

You are looking at a minimum of about $8 for an adult meal, and they go up from there. I think the kids meals are about $6.50ish.

Here is what we paid this last weekend:

1 Pepperoni Pizza (it is plate sized so nice and big) $8.89
1 Club Wrap (meat, cheese lettuce, tomato and a little bit of tasteless pasta salad: 7.99
1 Jumbo fry (like a McD's medium) 4.19 (total rip off!)

They sell a refillable mug that is around $7 I think, but then the refills are $2 each. Normally a cup of soda is about $2.50-$3 . Desserts are all in the $3-$5 range.

Hope this helps!:thumbsup2
