I've searched and searched and can't find a definite answer on the discounts provided for the DCP. I was accepted today after being pended and am curious as to what discounts are given to the CM and their family. Any updated info would be appreciated!!

Christmas discount which is mid October- mid February is 40% off merch, 60%(?) off hotel rooms, I think park tickets are always 10% off. Regular discount after February is 20% off merch and 40% off hotels. Some places offer dining discounts, when you get there they give you a list. I'm not fully sure about the hotel discount, but I'm pretty sure that's what it is. Hope this helps

While on your College Program, you have the opportunity to take advantage of many discounts on and off property.

On property, you receive a 20% discount on Disney Merchandise. Caveats to that are for Operating Participants that are on property (mostly as Downtown Disney), depending on the shop, you may receive anywhere between 0% and 50%. In addition, during the "Holiday" period (mid-October to mid-February), you receive a special discount on merchandise, in the past it has been 40% but is always subject to change. Further information about the Holiday discount can be found in the booklet that is mailed to you at the beginning of the Holiday Period as there are additional special discounts (meals, popcorn, photopass) available to you.

Cast Members dining on property receive a 20% discount. However there are some exceptions, it does not apply to QSR and ODF locations at the Parks or to Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club. The same caveat for Operating Participants applies. During the year, specials may run for various restaurants, always check the HUB to stay up to date.

For Resort stays. Cast Members can receive up to a 40% discount for Friends and Family, and up to 50% if they are staying in the resort. During the year, the discount can change to 50%/60%, always check the HUB to stay up to date.

For Park Tickets, General Admission tickets can be bought at a 10% discount at all Company D locations or over the Cast Phone Line (number is available on the HUB), Florida Resident Tickets cannot be bought at a discount. In addition, tickets for special events (MNSSHP/MVMCP/NOJ) can be purchased at a discount, which varies by event.

In addition, Cast Members on the College Program receive a "Main Gate" pass. This allows friends and family to enter the parks for free. You receive the same entitlements as Seasonal (CT) Cast Members.

Per the HUB (subject to change):

-Seasonal Blue Main Entrance Passes, are valid for SIX (6) admissions per calendar year, and are issued to Casual Limited (CT) Cast Members at Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida, including Disney College Program, CareerStart Program, Professional Intern Program and International College Program.

-Seasonal Blue Main Entrance Passes are notissued to Walt Disney Parks and Resort Cast Members statused to other sites including, but not limited to, Disneyland® Resort in California, Adventures by Disney or Disney Regional Entertainment.

-All Casual Limited (CT) Cast Members must qualify for their Seasonal Blue Main Entrance Pass by working at least one (1) day in the Casual Limited (CT) status during the current calendar year.

-Regular (FT) and Casual Ongoing (CR) Cast Members who transfer to Casual Limited (CT) status MUST qualify for their Seasonal Blue Main Entrance Pass by working at least one (1) day in the Casual Limited (CT) status during the current calendar year. Any current Main Entrance Pass will be deactivated upon transfer to the Casual Limited (CT) status and a new pass will not be issued until after payroll results have been processed for at least one shift in the Casual Limited (CT) status.

-Newly hired Casual Limited (CT) Cast Members will receive their Seasonal Blue Main Entrance Pass via mail approximately two weeks after their first day of work in the Casual Limited (CT) status in the current calendar year.

-To ensure that your CT Blue Main Entrance Pass is received timely, please ensure that your mailing address is current in SAP.

Thanks for all of the info! I can't wait to start saving :) eadavis - when you said friends and family receive a Gate Pass, is this for the entire stay of the Program or is it for limited visits? I remember last year that on the CP you are entitled to bring in 3 guests into the Parks for up to 6 visits or is that different?

It's the same entitlements, the format has just changed. Each Cast Member is issued three hard passes for friends and family to use. These are RFID enabled (for the turnstiles only), though not yet linked to MDE/MM+. They are good for the day (1-day park hopper) and must be returned to the cast member. If not, they could face disciplinary action. Kind of genius, incorporates the new technology and prevents abuse...

So up to three people get the six time pass? I can't give it to one person and have an 18 time pass?

I understand the coded passes concept (3 guests only with a 6 day pass)

Double check Park hopper? So, AK in the morning and MK in the evening counts as one?

Yes, up to three guests per day, each gets a park hopper and can change parks.

It is important to note, fingerprints are attached to the pass for the day, a different person will not be able to use the Pass at a different park.

It is also important to note, if the person using a guest pass is not an immediate family member (Grand parents, parents, siblings, children), they must be escorted during their entire visit. Cast Member's who let Friends and non-immediate family members in the parks unescorted (let them in and then leave) could receive disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Enforcement of this rule is the cause of much internal debate. If you choose to break this rule, you are taking a chance.
