Hey Everyone!

My sister just got to WDW to start her CP for this semester. She is really excited about everything and to meet fellow CPs!

I was thinking that later in the semester I want to send her a care package in the mail. I kind of want it to be like "themed" a little or to be things that would be helpful to CPs in general. I have no idea what I should put in it, so I thought I would ask ppl on the boards.

Does anyone have good ideas of things to include in a care package for a CP? Any past CPs have ideas of what things they would have liked to receieve or things that would be useful during her program?

Hopefully I can come up with something creative and thoughtful to send her.

Thanks!

I can only speak of my daughter but she never seemed to have any food. I don't think she was the only one in that boat because Food Bingo seems to be a pretty popular activity. The trick is to find food with some kind of nutritional value that can ship.

Another thing that is a big winner is a Disney gift card. Seems that much of the paychecks get spent at WDW, whether on food or gift shop items.

I know these aren't very creative but it was what my daughter liked.

These are good recommendations. My roommates received both. I think it depends on the person. I would have appreciated receiving either hand sanitizer or wipes to carry in my purse at the parks for those times when you get messy fingers. If you ship it close to a particular holiday, some treats or candies are always appreciated and usually shared among roommates. My BFF sent me some shower gel and lotion goodies for my birthday which were a nice treat as I didn't make it out to a mall much. Not sure if your sister has one already, but my roommates and I found wristlets to be helpful for being at the parks (just enough to hold a phone and ID).

* starbucks gift card
* visa gift card (she can use the card at the outlets and mall nearby)
* snacks
* books
* make-up
* souvenirs from her home town
* family pictures

I would suggest food (chips, cereal, snack bars), protein/meal replacement shake mixes (My DD love Herbalife Mint Chocolate Meal Replacement, which I order from a friend), or giftcards (Disney, Walmart, Starbucks, WAWA, 7-11, Pizza Hut, etc....). I have also shipped clothes/shoes that she has decided she just "must have":)

I also ship via UPS (not the Post office), as UPS will deliver directly to the apartment. USPS (post office) will deliver to the complex mail room and then the DCP will need to go pick it up when it is open.

We sent our son Coke rewards--the movie tickets for two so he could take friend to the movies.He likes dvds, moms beef jerky, friend shipped him a barbeque brisket, sometimes it is not what you send but the thought someone far away misses you, anything you send will be find.Hey homemade cookies..sandals or flip flops it is hot in Florida.
